blimey glad i dont have to be a ref between js and devonblue nice to see respect for each other even though they dont agree
I know that things don't seem to add up and there are a lot of unanswered questions, but what if a new stadium did bring better gates and financial stability, what if we did get promoted to the Championship and had tp turn fans away from Adam's park. I am not that informed of all the goings on, but I don't want to stand in the way of progress either. Personally I would want to see an exit road and expantion of Adam's park as plan A, but we may look back in 5 years time and see that a new stadium was a great move for the club. On the other hand in 5 years time we could look back and feel that the new stadium was the white elephant that crushed the club, look on the bright side at least the town would have a good concert venue! As I said the other day, I just wish I could go back to the future in 5 years time and see what the outcome was!
Just got back in. I suppose you're right. It's not as though it's getting personal or abusive so do carry on. I might get to have my say after dinner and stir it up a bit more.
Incredible stuff. What next? I see it being a turbulent few weeks ahead and now we will really see if Hayes "has our best interests at heart."
I suspect he didn't go to the meeting because he knew what the decision was. He probably stayed at home preparing his goodbye speech.
Yes, am agreeing to disagree! And yes, there really is no middle ground, it's either stick with the buzzers and Hayes and the possible Bookerdome or we forget them all. And I know what side of the fence I'm on. And if it sends us into administration, so be it. But I know there will be a football club rise from it no matter what happens, and if it's community-owned and run then those governing it will have one priority, and that's Wycombe Wanderers. Not making money. Football club owners don't make money... it's not a money-making business for the owners. Steve Hayes needs to realise this fast. Something that would be interesting would be to see the amount of black and white fans who have signed up/are wearing the colours (I am not as I live in sunny Scotland and if I wear black and white here people will think I support St Mirren, which is a bit weird) in relation to the average gates/number of season ticket holders. If you look at other 'fan power' campaigns in the past (Man Utd's springs to mind), of course they are going to be much bigger news because they have many more advocates, but it would be interesting to see what the figures were like in relation to our fan base. I might be wrong but300 black and white wearers in a 4500 crowd equates to one in 15 fans - so do we think that out of 75,000 fans (if you can call them that) at Old Trafford that there would be 5,000 green and gold wearing Newton Heath fans? I don't think there is, but I might be wrong. As well as that, it might also be interesting to see how popular the black and white brigade gets IF the stadium gets the go ahead. Don't forget that really we are at the very early stages of this, there's not even been permission granted yet however many people still seem to feel strongly about it.
i would take that to get the wasps out along with hayes and give the club back to the fans.we cant keep losing millions like we have since hayes has been in charge
I'm perfectly calm Rocky. I've had a nice peaceful evening. I'm just predicting WW JOTF appearing soon. Any news from Hayes yet?
