Many of those deals are undisclosed. Where are you getting those numbers.

Not sure if I've missed it already, but does anybody know of any sell on clauses? Usually those aren't made public but if there's one in the contract then that could be a reason the fee is seemingly lower than the asking price...

At the limit for the customer! That doesn't mean that we have to sell at the price that the customer can afford. We would only do that if we were desperate to make the trade ..... why?

This is where you are wrong, you are just blindly ignoring our want away Bony, who clearly wanted this deal very badly, bit like Graham situation but for different reasons, Bony and his agent have been very active in this deal too, it's not just about clubs, and when you have want away players, it can weaken the selling clubs hand, it's how the market on transfers works, and we play that game very well indeed, most of the time on free transfers, (Gomis) etc, anyway I'm happy, so is Huw, so is Monk, and that's all that matters..............<laugh>

Oh and Bony is clearly on cloud nine, until the reality of the Citeh bench sinks in..........<cheers>

I was told today and can't confirm it that there is a 7% sell on clause.

Right I am off to Burger King to tell them I want an Extra Large Bacon Double Cheeseburger meal, they will kindly tell me its valued at £6.59, I will then tell them I don't think it is worth mroe than £5. To which they stick to their valuation of £6.59.

I will then offer to pay £5 upfront, and if I am full after my meal, I will pay an extra 99p. Bargain at £5.99 for them. They can't expect to get any mroe can they. I mean I could go to McDonalds and buy a cheaper meal there.

As for being full, it has to be 60% fullness courtesy of the burger.

Now I agree with you Phil, that it is an inanimate object, so it cannot tell Burger King it really wants to be eaten by me, that it would be standing in the way of its dream if they were to refuse my offer, that it will have a hissy fit and stop smelling and tasting so delicious if they refuse. It does however have a short shelf life on which they will no longer be able to sell it once its cooked, so advantage me, right?

I would say I would let you know how it goes, but I think we both know what they will tell me ;)

Vetch - how is it "Monkenomics" when he didn't accept the deal on offer from Citeh; that was the Board?

Monk said £30m - it was the Board that took a lower price? <cheers>

All this talking about unhappy player etc. Tottenham kept Bale for an extra year, didn't hurt his performance.
Last year Liverpool put the foot down on selling Suarez. Player of the year
    Same with United and Ronaldo

Granted, Huys has done wonders overcharging Liverpool 15m for Allen, 5m for rodgers, 8m for Sinclair.

This time though, for one of the top strikers in the prem when strikers have been going for silly money in the past few years (list below) added to the fact the stupid money City pay for players (2nd list below) and you can see why Huys hasn't made the most out of this deal. Shocking, they have pretty much paid the same amount for bony as they did for a Lescott or a Milner or a Adebayor

Expensive strikers/attacking players in the past few years
    Bale 85m
    Suarez 75m
    Di Maria 60m
    Cavani 55m
    Falcao 51m
    Torres 50m
    Carroll 35m
    Higuain 35m
    Lallana 25m

Man City Big money buys/stupid buys
    Fernando 12m
    Backup Keep Caballero 6m
    Mangala 32m
    Navas 23m
    Fernandinho 30m
    Negredo 20m
    Jovetic 26m
    Rodwell 15m
    Sinclair 8m
    Garcia 16m
    Aguero 38m
Nasri 22m (last year of contract)
    Toure 24m
    Silva 25m
    Kolarov 17m
    Balotelli 24.5m
    Milner 26m
    Dzeko 27m
    Santa Cruz 17.5m
    Tevez 25.5m
    Adebayor 25m
    Kolo Toure 16m
    Lescott 22m
    Jo 18m
    Robinho 32.5m

Bobby, looking at that list of moneys paid by Man City it really does look like we have had our pants pulled down by them. Milner moved in 2010 for more than we have had for Bony. I wish you hadnt put that list up I feel even more so that this is a piss poor deal for us.

Phil curious the transfer fee for sinclair was 6.2m up to 8 with add ons. Does anyone now if they were met or were they another impossible set put there by Man City.

No I am not wrong. We don't have to sell unless we are desperate or have a proverbial "gun to our head".

So what made us desperate. Bony wasn't making waves. None that were public. In fact, publicly you couldn't ask for a nicer bloke. He clearly didn't like sitting out against QPR, but that's not surprising when you see that Gomis plodded along for the entire game, while Bony came on and within a few minutes scored a beauty. Bony's place was on the field not on the bench. The gap between Bony and Gomis couldn't be bigger. It's as big a gap as there was between Michu and Graham, and Scotland and Pintado/Beattie/Kuqi.

You don't get add ons for making tea or polishing boots.

The Sig / Vorm / Davies deal is undisclosed. If you are finding numbers on the net then they come from somebody like yourself.

Curious to know what record you are using as didn't the club say Vorm went basically on a free? They tried getting away with paying £0 on the sell on fee right? ;)

Also I cannot recall the club getting Siggy + 5.5m for Davies and Vorm can you? As wasn't Siggy valued at 10m, Palace had an offer accepted around that price didn't they, or was it 8m.
