RvP and Suarez need good service too, without service, they don't score either. Funny that. Suarez can make the odd goal out of nothing. But to say they would score in our team, is a bit silly seeing as we create nothing. RvP relies on his good movement mixed with good balls into the boxes, either from crosses, or played over the top of defendersm or even along the floor (running behind) we do none of that = Wasted Suarez is the only striker I can think would work for us as we are right now, has the strength of a big striker, whilst also having the agility of a fast striker, but we haven't got £50m, have youi?
Lets hope next month he starts to show some promise, though it's early doors yet, the issue is not really Bony, but our game in the final third, which has gone very stale. It's down to the manager to sort out our lack of cutting edge around the box, and we are simply not getting enough bodies in the box to be effective. Bony has always got two or three players around him ready to chop him down, so what are the rest of our forward line doing? Bony clearly had far better service at his previous team, and I think it has to be back to the drawing board for Laudrup on this issue in front of goal, it was glaring today, with West Ham simply flooding the box with bodies every time we got forward, and we huffed and puffed but simply couldn't blow the West ham defence down. I think it was one of the worst games I have ever watched regarding our lack of inventiveness in front of goal, and that is not Bony's fault, our fluidity and passing was well below par today, but that was down to the way West Ham were set up, to frustrate our passing game, and park the bus, to get the draw and it worked, feel sorry for Hammer supporters watching that crap every week!.................
Spot on Dragon and having watched Cardiff yesterday it will be exactly the same next week, in fact I counted their area with 10 players everytime they were defending the box, sheer weight of numbers stops people getting a shot in! We were slow in the final 3rd and something is missing badly from our play. Michu needs to be rested IMO, he is looking frustrated and and I fear his form may slip if he doesn't have a break, every other player has had a rest except him . Bony is a goal scorer I think the guy has had about 5 passes in the last 3 games, it sometimes looks like the Spanish lads just want to play through michu and nobody else
I can see where you're coming from NJ but if I was the manager of any opposing team I'd be relieved to see Michu on the bench. Wouldn't you? It's down to the Manager. If he perceives the Spanish lads are favouring their compatriot he should say so. It'll soon change.
