Bony will come good, just you wait, our team need to learn how to play with him in the team, and utilise the wings again, instead of coming inside so often.
I love it when your drunk and post negative threads, its all part of the fun can't wait til tomorrow when you tell us you were drunk
Well our team/manager is showing no signs of wanting to do that yet and the season is nearly a quarter over.
Do you honestly think the team should “learn how to play with him?” Surely it should be the complete opposite. Nevertheless, I hope it works out for Bony.
I don't think so no, we bought Bony for his Strengths, not to play to his weaknesses, so if we bought him for his Strenghts, we need to play to his strengths, and that is not with **** supply.
In all due respect to your opinion, What supply method does Bony actually need to score goals?. Obviously, Bony has the talent to score goals, but what is also obvious is that Laudrup hasn't been able to organize the supply Bony requires. Currently, Bony is an obstacle between Michu and Goal.
Quote on a west Ham forum - "6 in 11 in all competitions. We're crying out for a striker that will do that for us!"
I'm with swanselona on this. Nobody apart from the dickheads up the M4 is suggesting that Bony hasn't got the talent. They're busy ****ing off up there thinking we've bought a pig in a poke. Laudrup is no fool and he's already acknowledged that some players take longer to bed in than others. Bony was bought not just for the Prem but for all competitions. His scoring rate is pretty impressive - and it's no good saying they were against 'crap FC' because the quality of European competition has been pretty good. I accept that in the Prem he's struggled more but that's to be expected. As has been pointed out we're just fizzing the ball into his feet whilst his back is to goal at the moment - not the best way to use him. You're also forgetting his assists which have ben invaluable. I'm sure that Laudrup will keep the faith and one day it'll click. Hopefully tomorrow.
As far as I can see Bony has 6 goals this season: 2 Premier League - 1 v. Man Utd and 1 (pen) v. Sunderland 1 League Cup - v. Birmingham 2 Europa League Qualifying - both v. Malmo at home 1 Europa League 'proper' - v. Valencia away. The Bony conundrum (if you see it as one) could end up in four different directions. 1) We continue to play the same way and Bony adapts/gels/whatever, scores goals and everyone is happy. 2) We continue to play the same way but he fails to find the net regularly enough. I think it was Einstein who said "The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." End result - he's benched. 3) We adapt our style of play to suit Bony better. Various suggestions have been made about using wingers more to provide crosses, as headers are his strong point. He scores more; we're happy. 4) We adapt our style of play to suit Bony better but he still doesn't score (enough/prolifically). He's still benched. Perhaps Ivor is right and some of us need to get off his back but frankly I don't think anything written on here will make him play better or not. We should continue to encourage him at the stadium where it really counts, and so far I believe that has happened.
This thread I'm afraid is absolute twaddle. Thank god it's ML who selects who we bring in. Bony already has 7 goals and were still in October. I see the Jason Scotland scenario happening again.
bony has been overrated and a panic buy imo. He is over priced by £8-£10 million and we would have been better off buying two strikers for that money..He is more of an hindrance to michu than an asset. Lets try donnelly with michu for a couple of games as we cant do any worst.
What and Michu is doing what exactly, even he isn't playing well whilst Bony is off the pitch, so don't see your point. The only panicking going on with Bony, is from fans.
RvP .... he would be okay with us, he would bang a few in. Drogba would be wasted here, in his prime. Suarez would bang them in one after the other. Its about what players you have in your wardrobe.
