Apologies to those who have replied to me on here since last night, I've got a couple of notifications of being quoted. I'm just posting this here to say I'm not reading any further on the thread because it turned to **** really quickly and I've apparently really hit a nerve with some of my comments. I know if I read responses I'll feel compelled to reply again, so I'm not ignoring, just leaving the subject Apologies.
Things get said mate. Sometimes in the heat of the moment. Sometimes a beer or two can cloud your judgement. Ive said some pretty unsavory things on this thread. So i'll apologise especially to you for some of the remarks aimed your way. While i dont agree with your views and stand by my opinion that you are best suited to making daisy chains and butterscotch ice cream. I will also defend your right to have your opinion, and are free to express them. Which then takes us full circle on how you have those rights and the people who sacrifice to make sure you keep those rights.
Thats it - some people on here seem to live in a fantasy bubble - everyone will get along like good friends - why not sort it out with a game of blow football - winner takes oil - winners blow more air - bit like having the biggest crowd - my dads bigger than your dad - reality is its a sad picture all round - no easy end .......
JC its a contentious and emotional issue which has no real final result as the bottom line is that religious dogma underlies the whole conflict and historic tribal tensions drive the conflict - its a conflict unlike any other in my view
