Bolton are mulling over a bid for veteran Spanish striker Nacho Novo. The ex-Rangers fans' favourite striker spent last season in his homeland with Sporting Gijon after six seasons at Ibrox, but is now keen to move back to the UK. Novo secured three SPL titles during his time in Scotland and is eager for another crack at British football. He has spent the vast majority of his career on British shores having played for Raith Rovers and Dundee before earning his move to Rangers. Despite having a year remaining on his contract, the 32-year-old would be available on a free transfer from the La Liga side. Trotters manager Owen Coyle is eager to bring some new striking power to the Reebok Stadium after losing Johann Elmander to Turkish side Galatasary on a free transfer last month.
Are we that desperate? DJ Campbell could have been got for 1.5m, maybe still could. A lot younger and has got goals in the prem.
