I've been thinking the same. His dour demeanor is so depressing sometimes.

I've been a strong supporter of his, but after yesterday's catastrophe I'm starting to lose faith that Jack Ross can get us to the promised land.

I can just imagine what our fans had to say to Stuart Donald in the stand yesterday. He must have been shocked at the negative chants and boos, so probably went home last night pondering what to do next, because he has to be very concerned that the fans have turned on JR, which is undoing all the good work that Charlie and him have done to raise the spirits of the fans and the club as a whole.

Things have to improve quickly or Jack Ross is a gonner I'm afraid.

Definitely things we haven't tried. I'd like to see a more dynamic midfield pair.

I saw the LB play for Brugge a couple of seasons ago. I only know that cos I looked up the game to see if he was playing. Didn't stand out.

    Interesting.

But was that a CL game or a domestic league game? And, bar your Marcello’s Etc, should a LB stand out? Should we see them if they are solid.

Madness that we never made Alonso permanent, first decent one we’d seen since Micky and no more since.

At least having a left footed player there would give some balance you’d hope.

I think a big reason for JR becoming defensive is his total obsession with keeping clean sheets. If you listen to his pre season interviews and his post match interviews so far this season, he's always banging on about the need to keep a clean sheet.

That's utter nonsense Jack. Use our wealth of attacking players to score more goals than the opposition and you win the match, while entertaining the fans.

    It's not rocket science!

Domestic league game v Kortrijk. Good point about left backs. He can't be terrible. That was a decent Brugge team I saw. It was just before they played Man Utd.

    Yep.

When we are winning 2-1 or 3-1 nobody cares.

Clean sheets are far less important than wins.

Aye, Brugge is a massive club, always fighting for titles. You’d think anyone who’d played a large number of games for them would be way above League One level.

Ageee about the away fans. They turned when he took Maguire off didn’t they? That’s how it seemed listening to it. If that’s the case then my guess is that Naguire isn’t fully fit as I can’t see another reason to sub him. Particularly when Grigg is so bereft of confidence.

As I said on Twitter I’m on the fence about Ross. He did very well for most of last season. That can’t just disappear unless it’s the SAFC effect of course.

This is the team Ross has put together now. It's his squad and he'll rightly be judged on it.

I don't buy the argument that he's picking the right players so what more can he do. It goes way further than that with player instructions, confidence and mentality. You could give the exact same team to different managers and you'd get all different results.

That's not actually answering the question though is it?

"Are you confident that Ross will get these players competing and move us up the table?"

Changing the manager has saved us from relegation, why not promotion?

Leicester changed their manager and won the title.

Good point. Sometimes they are barely noticeable. So unnoticeable that the one who played hundreds of games for a successful Man Utd and won numerous trophies - yet I can’t remember his name

This is it. There’s been some fantastic wing backs but if you think back to great sides they’ll be the last players you can name, bar Maldini, Cafu, Marcelo, maybe Ashley Cole.

Yet, some of the most vital players. Does anyone talk about Jordi Alba? A first pick every game for Barca? Alaba at Bayern? Sandro at Juve?

    These are top top players.

There's always a chance that changing the manager would be a reality check, as people realise that our squad isn't as good as they thought and we slowly drop down the table.

Depends who you get, plenty of managers that would be a safe bet that it wouldn't happen but how many of them are available.

Absolutely true. But then it could go other way or we drift along as we are.

It’s a sticky spot we are in. We could be as low as 11th if we lose next week.

We've got a way to go to sink as low as Portsmouth are at present.....every cloud and clutching straws etc...

I never feel confident we'll win any game under Ross.

When we go ahead you just know we'll sit back, fingers crossed, hoping to see it out.

There's just no evidence of belief in the team. No wonder when the likes of O'Nien are played in 3 different positions in consecutive games.

That goes against all of the fundamentals of the game, no wonder the players look baffled about how they're supposed play.
