Rog did say 'if miracles could happen.' I loved our time under Big Sam, it was great to see him forge a bag of ****e into a solid football team. But he is out of the game now and I think all parties are happy with that. I would be quite happy with LJ and a miracle, that miracle being him accepting that he isn't God's gift to football and realise his faults are exactly that, his. Players giving no effort? He trained them, he picked them. He motivated them and he sent them out to play - twice over! LJ can give some of the blame for the first half to the players, but not the second because he'd seen how they'd played in the first half and it was up to him to change things. From what I'm reading everywhere he didn’t so much as adjust the formation at half time, sending them out to just repeat the same failures. Yes the players deserve a kick in their arses, but LJ was the strategic failure behind yesterday's tactical disaster and he needs to take a long hard look at himself - and quickly!
Why do people keep referring to LJs size? They are being derogatory to all short people. If he is a crap manager then criticise him for that. His appearance has no bearing on the teams performance.
If I refer to little lee it his stature and not his physical size that I am highlighting. Same with Big Sam.
Fair point. Would be interesting to know what the dynamics of the recruitment team, Head coach and Director of football is. Its obvious to everyone (including opposition managers) that we need to bolster midfield my worry is that I dont think LJ thinks that. His team selection seems to indicate that he doesn't thinks its problem. He constantly reverts to a formation that leaves us completely exposed when we don't have the ball. Like you say big test for the top team.
Would they? What brings you to that conclusion? Their recent success as managers at previous clubs? (Warnock was sacked by Middlesbrough after less than a year!)
