BOLTON v QPR Matchday Thread

Real lack of quality so far from both teams, reminds me of last season except we'd have been punished and out of it by now. Come on hoops, Bolton nothing special

 

Boltons man of the first half has to be the ref

 

2 or 3 bookings for nothing, he really looks like he wants to send someone off. Its been a really poor game. Good save Green.

 

Bolton players are going down because of the ref, looking for free kick or booking

 

and then he lets off Austin with an awful tackle that was worse than the ones that got a yellow.

 

We really lack any sort of imagination and are giving the ball away too cheaply. Austin invisible right now and also lucky to not go in the book. Green playing a strong game. SWP quick on wing and also tracking back defensively.

 

I didnt notice Austin for 20 mins but when he does get it, he does something with it. Were starting to get on top now, a goal before HT would be great.

 

Second part of this half I thought we played quite well in an even game. Hope we will get an early goal in the 2nd half... I am a bit worried about O´Neil who made some sloppy passes.

A solid first half in one of the hardest away games of the season. Apart from Barton putting Beckford in on goal they haven't been close, apart from once. SWP should have scored when he beat the player seven yards out and then I don't know wtf he managed to do.
We should win this!

I praise players who do something good and have a go when they do something bad. Im not a happy clappy that praises players for being ****.

 

Bolton are a poor team who want to catch us on the break, 3 points are there for the taking

 

I assume the black shorts clashed with their navy. It will be seen at Yeovil though and hopefully Leeds.

never thought I'd see you say that sort of thing about Green

it was a really soft yellow for Barton, if it was for the "challenge". We should use left flank more, have been much more dangerous coming up from left, easy access all the way to end line and low cross into 6yard box for AJ/Austin

 

Absolutely, there's little on offer from Bolton and we should be taking them apart. We seem to lack any sort of imagination around the box and that could be our downfall this season when we dominate but don't punish the opposition...
