All this stuff from Adkins about 'we have a spirit', I think it must be the kind of spirit where you ring up a vicar and do an exorcism. Maybe Stuart Elliot would do it. It is Halloween I suppose..
Well it's not a stellar level of football, but it's stronger than many make out and the Hearts team last season wasn't great. For him to get the stats he did (dribbles, key passes, crosses etc) in the amount of games he played, it suggests he's worth at least a place on the bench. It's not as though he's conference level and he's certainly a better option than Will Keane. I mean we're talking like he was average and we just got him at random. Hearts wanted to keep him, a few other clubs wanted him and he was one of the standout players in the league, despite the presence of Celtic players. I just think it's odd that Adkins would rather load the bench with players we know are a bit crap, instead of players we haven't given a chance to.
I don't get this Milinkovic love in? Have any of us actually seen him play? He could be brilliant or he could be terrible at this level. Let's stop blaming Adkins for things we have no idea about. Do I rate Adkins no? Am I going to blame him for not playing Milinkovic? No as I have no idea who he is or if he is any good. Reminds me of Kamil "better than Messi" Ghilas.
No-one knows much about him, think he's had about 20 mins as a sub this season? On the other hand I'd be inclined to give the poor bugger a go, he really can't be much worse than what we've got, can he?
I saw him 3x last year and he is a good player. Hearts wanted to sign him, rangers showed an interest but it never went anywhere and there was interest from other champ sides. Something just doesn't add up imo
Say, for example, he had failed a drugs test a few weeks ago but club asked for the B sample to be checked, how long would that take, and would the player be prevented from playing in the meantime?
Oh I don't disagree stick him on the bench and give him some game time. I wouldnt start him ahead of Bowen or Grosicki though. But he isn't going to be our Messiah.
This whole Milinkovic thing reminds me of Kamel Ghilas, he had a few halves of games where he was ok, then nothing. Having said that, I think That Milinkovic is probably in some sort of trouble with someone not to be getting a game, as others have said, he was wanted & rated by more than us, so there’s more to this than meets the eye!
Really not sure about this thing about everyone else wanting him. Whenever we go up against another club at our level for a player we lose out. If decent championship clubs wanted him they'd have got him, just like all our other targets. All of our signings are what we can get on the cheap. That is the policy nowadays.
I know what you're saying, but there must be some other than he's ****, he was wanted by teams higher than us & also teams in Europe, Rangers.
