As it happens you are wrong there, we know that Royston was involved in the car park protests ..... the ones before CARD was even born!
The problem is that you are what is known as a “Jonny cum lately’. It is a group mindset which afflicted you and many of the other regulars on Wally Life. First you tried to make friends with her, then you tried to ingratiate yourself with her, after years of being blanked, you protested against her. Many of us were involved in those protests, back in November 2015 I believe. All Charlton fans were equal back then, but once CARD made its presence known some became more equal than others. We were making our anger known. Some of us were not happy to be told when and where and how to express that anger in future. Personally I've put that in the past now, but that's not to forget it ever happened.
Thanks for pointing that out, I am both surprised in a way and pleased to hear it, which makes it all the more surprising how he has become so dismissive of anyone who is still actively following that form of protest or continuing to do so.
Spot on @lardiman Quite a few of us *Original Protesters* on here took the view that the Protests lost Momentum (no pun intended) and then petered our after a certain VOTV Editor and loudmouth famously grabbed the megaphone in the car park - that was the famous day “The Oik” boasted he would make Charlton ‘unmanageable’. Does @Mr Sitter think hubris is something you spread on your toast ?

I During the early protests I expressed concern on ere that a megaphone would appear, no idea by whom. I've got no axe to grind as far as Rick is concerned, but the appearance of the megaphone changed the whole dynamic of the protests, not in a good way. SAme when BDL took his turn with it. I don't question Rick's talents for public speaking, or running a campaign, and my protesting credentials are OK,but I've always felt a bit uneasy about becoming a sort of CARD footsoldier, which I have been. Maybe the car park protests would have died anyway, even without the megaphone, maybe not.
Where have I backed RE - other than to pull you up on your constant and unnecessary jibes against him? I was one of the first to question the setting up of the G21 and robustly queried the motives behind it and the demographics of the group. I also publically made RE well aware what I felt the motivation was behind it. Just because we don't all have your blinkered views on anything and everything he does, doesn't make us 'apologists' for him.
