Who is going to actually order the wreath and see it goes to the correct funeral? Is anyone in contact with Boggers family or quite local?
I'm with Eire. I think we should post a link to the condolences page on her twitter. She can then decide whether to get it touch or not.
Someone needs to send Boggers wife a message on facebook saying something like: We are sorry to disturb you during this difficult time. As you know Steve was a regular on the 'Not606' Leeds football forum. We are devastated to hear about his sad passing. We have put together the following tribute page. https://www.not606.com/threads/r-i-p-boggers.352462/ We would like to donate a wreath or make a contribution to a charity of your choice. Steve had a lot of friends on this board. Rest assured our thoughts are with you during this terrible time. He will not be forgotten.
Can you contact Pags to do this. She originally posted Steve’s wife Facebook post so Pags must be friends on fb and could certainly contact her in that case Edit. I’ve reread the first few posts and it’s RCDM that’s friends with Steve’s wife on fb. Can he be contacted.
Mike? Wishful thinking on your part. He was called Steve unless I misread the original notification..

Give it a rest man, this is about Boggers, and the friends he made on here, whether he met them or not, they want to pay a tribute to him in some way, I think the floral tribute is a great idea and his Mrs would appreciate the thought. I'm sure she would be aware of the Not606 lads he met on his visits to Elland Road, but maybe someone should ask the question about the wreath first. Do you always have to be confrontational ?
On account of the facts A) it wasn't your idea so you don't agree and B) you won't be contributing anyway, in the words of Boggers, "why don't you phark off and mind your own business"? Before you go on one of your huffs, how is your holiday? Hope it is amazing and you are feeling better? And, I have suggested to the important people (offence intended), if the wreath is not appropriate for the funeral how about just lay it at Billy's Statue. Can't cause any offence and the intention is sincere. Stop battering Eire, he is the catalyst of something good here
My thoughts: Could we simply get a Leeds badge wreath, and add a note that it's from Boggers' Not606 family? As Glory kindly pointed out earlier (not a dig), many Leeds florists will be able to knock one of these up blindfold. Makes it quick & simple if we're chasing time. We could even get a price in anticipation, so we know what's what. I'd offer to do it, but I am sooo pushed for time atm. Won't bore you with the details.
No sure why you felt the need to attack my opinion, but you do seem to spend your time playing the man and not the ball... Wreath at the statue is a good idea, and it could be done at a meet up.
It's all getting a bit undignified all this, and that's a real pity in itself Ironic really because Boggers exuded dignity Surely someone who is Leeds based can go into a local florist and order something poignant and tasteful, tell us how much it comes to and whoever wants to contribute can PM the purchaser for details of account number etc so we can BACS the payment over The surplus goes to MS charity
