Morning all. We know it's the end of the season. Elland is having a well earned lye in. Thoughts on the weekend? Rumour mill on incomers or outgoings.

Would the last person leaving Madrid in a couple of weeks kindly turn the lights out. C'est La Vie Chelski. At least they made it to the semis.
 
Morning Boggers. Chelski won the game I wanted them to win, the pool one. Don't care if they never win another one now. Rumour mill this summer will be pointless. Think Cellino will keep cards very close to his chest and whatever signings we get will likely be unknown to any of us beforehand. I suppose Burke will get lots of mentions. Think his names been bandied about since Wilkos days

Morning Eire. End of the line on this Post I think, as Elland has finally got his ar&e in gear and started a mass debate elsewhere.
 
Morning Elland. Can you now close/merge this thread with my MAC thread?

On GFH, we knew they weren't in it for the long term. But a £4m profit in less than a season is a fair effort. Was that just from the sale or from running costs.

On Ross, Derby may well field a weakened team, which means we could score a hatful. As there's nothing riing on the game other than pride, I'm hoping Dawson and one or two other kids get at least part of a game. On Byram, I think we'll see him back to his best. Shoul have time during the summer to allow him to rest up and build up.

On Cellino, time will tell. But freezing prices for kids is a good start. Let's judge him after the T/W.
 
Good morning from a dull damp Bardsey we had a thunder storm last night as I was sitting in my front garden drinking a glass or two of delicious white wine with ice, cant remember thunder storms in April before
Byrom had a very poor season but being young we must give him benefit of the doubt
Cellino is working on the right lines encouraging the young fans which is the live blood of any team get em young and you have them for life by charging £3 per game is the right way to get them watching all he needs to do now is invest a lot of money and bring in a new coach AS you know I,m hoping he will come for supper soon
Ross may have a chance as Derby will be understrength
Finally I feel great thank you all for your good wishes
We mustn't forget what a great feat 2 Madrid teams have done to reach the final its never been done before for one cityit just shows La Liga is much stronger than our league don ,t you think

I saw Boggers' Mac thread, then 60's Well done Cellino thread and assumed BMac had gone! <laugh>

Good point on Cellino encouraging the kids back though, definitely needs to be done.

As for Ross, I think he will grab one on Saturday, but Byram needs an injury free season if he is going to even graze the kinds of performances we saw from him in his first full season. Also problem is, people know all about him now. In his first season he was the unexpected surprise package.

Real and Barca, I believe are miles ahead of their compatriots in their league.

I wouldn't be sure how Athletico would do, if they were in the Prem. Sure, they've had an amazing European Cup run, but would they have the consistency to be top 4? Not sure?

I know what you mean about Chelsea, but if we could choose who wins the league, which of the top 4 would you choose?

Morning Durham, its a difficult one, should Leeds extend his contract now? If he has an amazing season 14/15, Prem teams will be all over him. How many years does he have left on his contract?

Morning Boggers, it said net profit, which I think is after all expenses. If I'm wrong, I'm sure to be up for nomination....

Under contract till 2016, which is a tricky one yeah. Without knowing how much he is on now in relation to the rest of the squad its hard to say. We should definitely be trying to keep hold of our young talent, but for all we know at the minute he could be crocked
 
Morning all. In answer to Elland's question & yes I've got my bar of soap lined up, I'd rather Chelski won the league than victimpool. If they won, we'd be reading for ages how this was in support of the '96, done for the '96 etc.

That said, victimpool will win the league sometime and they're full of English talent, rather than imported talent from around the world, Suarez aside.
 
Elland not too sure your right about Aletico Madrid they are top of La LIGA knocked BARCA out of the Cup they say tables don,t lie so Spain have at least 3 better teams than any we have produced.
Finally I think there should be a minutes silence on Saturday for the lady teacher can you speak to someone Aide!
 
As its a home game, I would imagine there'll be the traditional minute's silence for all those we've lost, making the terrible situation with that teacher even more poignant.
