Daiswan- I know you have, same with me as well. Trouble is, a view other than "cant wait for bodde to return and lead us to glory" is greeted with ridicule from other posters, and for the life of me i cant figure out why! It is taken as a given that we ALL want bodde back, he is one of the most talented players ive ever seen pull on the shirt but there is a major career issue that may mean he wont return to former glory, i feel alot of posters have their head stuck in the sand and i beleive having a more realistic viewpoint is better for supporters, forum members and indeed ferrie bodde himself!! Im not totally dimissing the idea of his return, just pointing out that it will be unlikly that he will return at all or to the same standard, nothing wrong with that. Time will tell with bodde but lets not blow sunshine up his arse until he at least completes a reserve game !! 3 yrs out remember
Good luck with that washing machine lift off norway !! - cracker. Why, is ferrie running the show in centre midfield and scoring for fun ? or did we sign an iclandic player with a view to taking his place long term and his name is bodde 2 ??
we have no choice but to give him a go now to be honest and i hope he can do well but as a realist then history shows it is highly unlikely he will last the pace, this happens in football, i would not have bothered 2 seasons ago and paid him off...... we all want to see the old boddie of 3 years ago but it just wont happen i feel....good luck to him is all i can say....
YES, to return to his level . i dont think it will happen, just like i restated in comment 81 , i dont think he can make it back to his level ever again, and as i also stated all the way through this thread ,nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be proved wrong on this!! Im willing to be convinced that he will make an amazing comeback and asked everyone to come up with evidence of a player that has returned to a higher level after 3 yrs out, alas no response from any poster, i wonder why....
there is no player cracker.....its far to long to be out for anyone, you can name cracking players who have had their football careers ended through injury though...
Im hoping to build a Rocket ship out of washing machine spare parts, seems me and ferrie share the same optimism 3yrs out and he is going to play like he has never been away?? he is finished as a top level performer for us, better off just forgetting about him -Norway Jack I stick with this comment, i do think he is finished as a top level performer, not sure why cracker wants to repeat it but there we go Surely the comment that deserves to be mentioned and is most relevent is the origional one on this thread Cracker ?? i notice you didnt remark about the origional post, where bodde himself stated he hoped to be involved against barnsley, well he aint on the field and he aint on the bench either, but we all kinda knew that was gonna happen didnt we
I think nobody has time to go on a crusade to find players going through this norway- cracker Well then you should accept the other side of the argument RE bodde, dismiss my questions if you like, its not a point scoring exercise against fellow posters its a genuine point of debate ,if you cant accept that cracker you dont have to comment, there are plenty that would like to know if others had returned from a similar time out, truth is i suspect as daiswan said himself, there are none probably and alot of jacks maybe dont like dealing in cold facts when it comes to swans favorites Who knows, could be wrong
Like I say Norway , your original comment of there not being a hope in hell for Bodde is what got me . Crystal ball indeed !!
Like I say Norway , your original comment of there not being a hope in hell for Bodde is what got me . Crystal ball indeed - cracker. Please show me where i said there is not a hope in hell for bodde in my origional comment cracker, otherwise stop making up complete lies fella
musty if he can get fit then he has to play at some point or why have we stayed with him and spent a lot of money on him, He will definately play and i really hope he does well but like i said many times as a realist i cant see it ....
Well he wasn't at Barnsley, so that's another ferry Bodde has missed!................ please log in to view this image
Waaaaaaaay. I'm still confident. I can't comment on whether he'll be able to regain former glories, but I see no reason why he can't return to a playing role soon. His knee injury hasn't recurred so I reckon he'll be back.
Friend of mine went to a party last night and was talking to Morgan and Ferrie is due to play very soon. Barnsley too early for him.
