Dai have you noticed you disagree with a lot of people?! Not saying you're wrong, just a lot of the time your views are definitely in the minority, be they right or wrong.

Well we have waited this long so its not going to do any harm to give him the benifit of the doubt, i know he has had some horrific injuries but if he plays and comes through unscathed then great for him and us , but if he breaks down again with the same problem and that could be anytime and any game not just a comeback game then i'm afraid its a sad goodbye

The encouraging performances of Orlandi and Dobbie recently, matched with an iminent Bodde return, and a talented new Icelander, added to our already strong quartet of regular midfield starters, equates to a rather fierce-some arsenal of middle-of-the-park weaponry. Now it's just about Brendan finding the most effective combinations......spoiled for choice, I'd say!

Bepeswan- Ferrie has played in the dutch league, and you actually think thats the top level ?? i'll have what your smoking fella <laugh>

Speaking of the "the top level" Dutch league ,Ferrie was part of a relegation team,so not exactly flattering for the CV is it ? his offers to progress his career after relegation from the "top level" came from a team in Switzerland(grasshoppers of zurich i think) Aberdeen and us !! not exactly massive clubs if you catch my drift :)

Bodde amazing talent 3yrs ago, not so sure now, im hoping to see the evil genious return to his best, im hoping so so much but just dont think he will ever return to his level ever again, the premiership is a big jump up in class, speed, strength and mental toughness, exactly the wrong place to play with a dodgy knee :(

Good to hear this from someone else. He had told me that his training was going well and it's good to see the tweet from Ashley Williams.....I was starting to think I'd had a dodgy pint in Neath and imagined meeting Ferrie!

Cracker-our other players have had the fortune of playing and progressing steadily through the divisions, and when you say "all the other players" Are you having a laugh or what!!Granted some of the names metioned below wernt around in L1 but plenty were moved on as we moved up

    Cotteril
    Butler
    Dobbie
    Beatie
    Monk
    Tate
    Dobbie
    Orlandi
    Æreal

    Bessone

Have hardly "adjusted" have they, none of them Are mainstays in the team and some never Will be.

Of the first team prem sqaud from L1 There is only

    Ash williams
    Rangel
    Britton
That play regular, gower has come in and done really well on occasion but was behind kemy at the start of the season and joe allen has progressed while not really featuring in the league 1 team due to him being an up and
coming talent and coming from the youth.

You can be fit as a fiddle but that is not the same as having match fit ess, something ferrie hasnt had for 3 years! Why people Think he Will run onto the field after not playing for so Long and make an impact is beyond me,alot of posters Are living in Dream land and seem to Think ferrie is super human<laugh>

Ask yourself why if he was so fit and close to first team action that he hasnt played a reserve game or a åra tiæ game to prep him for his return?
Considering There were question marks about how the club managed his comeback last time(or the time before,i cant remember it was so Long ago) you would Think the Odd apearence in a reserve game would be the smart move first! Ask yourself why this is not happening?

Maybe he is super human and Will just slot right back in, but after seeing his return against sheff utd and seeing him not being able to loft a ball properly or look anywhere near sharp before coming off after 10 minutes id be inclined to air on the side of caution with bodde.

Ive only ever seen one player who came back stronger and better from an ACL injury and that was Roy Keane, bodde Will have to match that to be able to compete at this level, and he has the disadvantage of never playing at this level(prem league) unless of course you Think like bebeswan and beleive the dutch league is as strong<laugh>

Any ones thoughts on this what is the difference with Tate coming back and Ferrie after injury ,I appreciate that they suffered different injuries but they will have started retraining approximately the same time and so potentially will be at the same fitness level ?

Just to confirm - I saw Bodde in Tescos outside work before the Spurs game. I dont usually speak with the players as they must be pi##ed off with speaking with fans all the time - but I did for a change ask him when hes back? He said he was training and hoped to be back next week for Barnsley - I would love to see him play again.

Norway - You and I have always agreed to disagree on the Bodde saga, and this time is no different. Whilst I appreciate the logic in your post regarding his ability to compete at the top level, it is surely true that before this season's start none of us could be certain that any of our players would cut the mustard at this level. Who knew that Dyer would shine, and Sinclair would suffer? Yes, of course, we could offer our opinions but until they played, we had no actual idea who would be good enough. The same, then, must be applied to the case of Bodde. It is imperitive that we do not let him be defined by his injuries. As someone who's experienced ACL injury, Norway, you know that Bodde's absence for such a long period is not due to the injuries serverity as such, but due, simply, to the extremely lengthy recovery period. He may well take some time to reconstitute his mental patterns, i.e. pulling out of tackles, twisting too quickly etc, but, to question your Roy Keane comment, our club captain, Garry Monk has suffered two ACL injuries in the past and he hasn't done too badly at this level, has he?

I agree that, as he hasn't played any reserve games yet, it would seem unlikely that he will walk back into the first team any time soon, but we have no more reason to suspect that he can't play at the top level than any of our other players. He is no Kieron Dyer, or Darren"sicknote" Anderton; his injuries have all been interlinked and explainable, and therefore curable, and it is more likely, now that he's had the full reconstruction, that he will never suffer the same injury again. I appreciate that we all want him to succeed, but hold differing opinions as to how likely that will be, but I just can't see the logic in writing him off based on non-truths and guesswork. STID.

It would be great to see Bodde return to the Swans, however I think it would be to much of a risk at present. Far better he went to a club in a lower league on loan for a while to improve his touch and fitness. A lower club like Derby perhaps?

Love this. Would it be too inciteful to post it on the Derby board?
