I know, obviously messageboards are good for spreading the word and the banter, but like anything there is alway's negative drawbacks,it's learning to see through the bullshit I suppose........

Welcome on board BTW <ok>

Yeah he was awful and disinterested in a couple games, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.
I'm good like that ;)
I didn't see him disinterested ... he had a job to do by defending from the front and putting himself about, linking up any counter attacks ... Please remember that MH was trying first to become difficult to beat ..I could certainly see the improvement, the concentration and discipline improve game by game... its not about running about wildly. There is so much more to his role and his game that goes unnoticed...and his role was different in each game ... Bob? if you read this please help them out here. BZ would have been very aware of every thing he needed to do.
No offence meant but you can't just print he was lazy .. i have to comment about that. I agree of course he maybe past his best but his role is one of the hardest to do IMO

Can I also remind the bashers, that 3 seasons ago most talked about HH in the same tone people talk about Hulse today. He couldn't do a thing right for us, but look how he's played for the past couple of seasons.

Give Zamora a chance, because if he becomes settled then he's a very dangerous forward to have. Let's try and be positive about our players for a change and hope for the best, rather than expecting the worst.

Well said ... and the treatment of Hulse and the oversight of HH on here is laughable.

Im giving him the benefit of the doubt like I did with HH before he went to Watford on loan. I told everyone he would come good as I believed he was injured and seemed lazy because you dont chase lost causes when you are in pain.

That why Ill let a couple of lazy performances go from Zamora as he could have been playing through something.

Jay Bothroyd to score on tour? ... by then he will be on here in everyone's starting 11 ... HH, JB, RH, BZ, AJ, all could play in front of Cisse if they find form ... we really have a great attack now ... a match and a hard game for any defence in the best league in the world? If i was a centre back I would **** myself playing against these players as you know you are in for a physical game

.
That's what I'm hearing as well.

Sometimes it is necessary not to chase lost causes I have never under stood this its part of the English game which is laughable and we still call it lazy!

Cheers Northolt, alway's watched this board from a far,but haven't really posted much.Alway's keeps me entertained ;-)

Zamora does more then scores goals just take the home game against Arsenal he was outstanding plus he was carry a knock plus not having cisse having to do double the work rate.

He will be a massive player for us this season having a whole per-season with cisse and Johnson will only bring the best out of him.

Because it gets you goals. Mackie hounding the Arsenal defender and then setting up Diakite for example.

Zamora and Jelavic are two completely different players. Zamora was bought in to be the striker that holds the ball up and brings other players into play. Cisse was brought in to be the goalscorer in the team, so we should be comparing Cisse to Jelavic......

It's true Zamora didn't find his Fulham form, but there's no doubt that he has the ability. Well worth persevering with in my opinion, he'll both score and create goals.

If we had a choice between Jelavic and Zamora, we made a mistake (with the benefit of hindsight of course).

I think Rangers owed Everton some money which essentially gave them first dibs on Jelavic (and meant they got him pretty cheaply too).

It was a fire sale, we could've had him if we wanted, 'the only doing it in the SPL' factor put them off.

It's true Kerry we could have had him.

We had talks with him Northy but he didn't want to come to us.His father who is also his agent told him that we were a small club going nowhere, and that signing for Everton(a big club with a massive tradition)would be a far better career move for him.I ****ing hate agents!
