Why on earth the club hasn't ballotted the 17,000 Season Ticket holders on the change to red I do not know. Most of us have brains, and would rather see the club in red with new players and a chance for a future than in blue and closer to administration than the Premier League. I am definite that now, after some time for consideration, an overwhelming majority of us real fans would now support the change.
Play in red, not be IN the red. A good point iggy, a ballot of 17000 would be more representative than the 'sound bites' of the message boards, twitter and facebook. I know there are regular attendees who should be heard who are not ST holders but at least the board would get a ballanced view of how supporters feel.
Can someone correct me if I am wrong. From all that I have read the decision to play in red and remove the bluebird was at the proposal stage. It had not been discussed at board level and no final decision made when it was leaked out. If that is correct then a lot of damage has been done based on speculation based on a leaked piece of information. Leaked information, as is its nature, is heavily loaded by the person leaking the information. I am not against change and I would love to see the bluebird remain but we have to move on to survive or we'll die. Hopefully DT and VT are stronger men then the fools that posted threats and made racist comments and will see the way forward is with Cardiff City Football Club.
I have read that the shirts were already in production. The plan is now to use the red shirt as the away kit, and the blue at home. All ideas were in progress. The training facilities plans had been completed based on checking out different PL clubs, the stand was ready to go ahead, and the shirts were in production. The owners seem to have been committed to the changes, and the club wanted to break it to the supporters over a period of time, highlighting the benefits rather than the negatives.
basically correct, but that doesnt stop people in this day and age from forming an opinion on the malaysians as evil foreigners ripping the soul out of the club does it? your right something has to give, no business can lose £12m a year and survive, and we are no different. we need to innovate, not carry on with the same old ways which have seen us get into more and more debt
Swamp, I'm not a member of the supporters club but I am a ST holder and a member of the trust, I've not been asks by anyone.
