OK guys (and gals) - thanks for the best wishes on the mod thing - I'll give it a shot and we'll see where it goes.
Sheepy and Taff have the experience - they've both been brilliant IMO - and I'm going to TRY to sit back and watch until Taff leaves the position in the New Year. Good luck Taff - you've sure taken some flak in the role and kept your cool (most of the time anyway
).
I intend to post as normal (usual **** according to some
) and not let the role spoil my enjoyment of the forum. Being as "invisible" as possible doing the job is always what I've blabbed on about in the past to be the best route. That doesn't mean taking the easy option and ignoring anything that disrupts the forum as a great place for a chat - football or otherwise.
If we can keep the decent football discussion threads as just that (but not devoid of some humour), and the other stuff confined to threads that ask for it, I'll be happy to take a back seat.
I will however take a dim view of anyone that deliberately attempts to derail the football threads with either continous one line quips designed to provoke a reaction, or confrontational posts wrapped up in what appears to "football stuff", but really set out for the same reason. Opinions as to what that might constitute may vary, but I've got my own ideas, and I'm sure you'll let me know yours.
Stealth wumming from visitors will be allowed, but only if they have a certificate from my academy - unqualified stealthing will be deemed a breach of board rules.
Now bloody well get on with it and enjoy it - there's a game tomorrow, and don't bother me with crap complaints if we lose, cos sure as eggs, there won't be any if we win!!!!

I bet that stung a bit every time.
