Leaderboard after the 2nd round... Leader - Thomas Bjorn & Shane Lowry @ -10 T5 - MCILROY, Rory, -5 T9 - HANSEN, Anders, -4 T9 - SIEM, Marcel, -4 T9 - AIKEN, Thomas, -4 T14 - LUITEN, Joost, -3 T29 - DYSON, Simon, -1 T39 - OLESEN, Thorbjørn, Par T47 - COLSAERTS, Nicolas, +1 T47 - BOURDY, Gregory, +1 T47 - JAIDEE, Thongchai, +1 Cut - T87 AGUILAR, Felipe, +4 Cut - T113 FLEETWOOD, Tommy, +6 Cut - T118 APHIBARNRAT, Kiradech, +7 So after the 2nd round we have 5 picks in the top 20, which is great going for our chances this weekend... Bjorn was never going to go big in round two, but still has a healthy lead over most of his nearest rivals, though Lowry has joined him at the top of the leaderboard... Fingers crossed that we can get someone home at the top, or at least score with a top 6 finish...
Leaderboard after the 3rd round... Leader - Thomas Bjorn @ -15, 5 shots better than the field...!!! T4 -MCILROY, Rory, -8 T4 - LUITEN, Joost, -8 T7 - AIKEN, Thomas, -6 T18 - SIEM, Marcel, -4 T18 - DYSON, Simon, -4 T30 - HANSEN, Anders, -2 T36 - OLESEN, Thorbjørn, -1 T46 - JAIDEE, Thongchai, +1 T59 - BOURDY, Gregory, +3 T66 - COLSAERTS, Nicolas, +6 It looks like we need a miracle to get the winner from our picks here with Bjorn so far in front of the rest, but stranger things have happened at sea...!!! We have 5 players all with a chance of getting in the e/w placed money, so we will have to wait and see... As for getting a little bit back from our bets, well were doing ok.
Take a freaking bow my son, lovely way to round off a bank holiday Sunday Great to see Rory back in form, hopefully he can do the same when I will no doubt handicap him with my money in The Open!
Cheers pal Played fantastic today. Was helped by the downfall of Bjorn but i'm not complaining And Dyson has been solid all week..nice to get some e/w returns back for him Now if Matsuyama can hold on to the lead in the Colonial tonight!!
Smokin you were Smokin this weekend...!!! As you said, it took a car crash of a round by Thomas Bjorn to help you out, but Rory still had to get past Shame Lowry to win it... Plus a 150/1 e/w call on Simon Dyson isn't to be sniffed at either... Well done sir, take a bow... I just missed out with Aiken, who finished T7th, but I had a good run for my money... But all praise is for Smokin and his very nice return for the weekend... Get them beers in pal...
Well done Smokin Managed to have 3 players miss out on the places over the two tournaments by 1 shot too which was frustrating but that's the way she goes. Probably wait until the US Open for a bet now, have a good look at that, one of my fave tourneys of the year so until then good luck lads.
Cheers guys! Treat myself to a day at Redcar races yesterday Was a good day, but sadly no winners (unless you include the lemontop after racing!!)
