he went for a better contract, 27 now, he is what he is, good contract in the dregs of the premier league for 3 or 4 years then couple more in the championship and he is set for life

he looks like wan a they tight ****s that charges his pals for celtic tickets

Has Doomcaster done any damage to your club since he's been there, or is it just your board that has fallen below your standards?

No its just the fans have ****ed off. Somehow we are meant to maintain a world class squad while losing money each year.

If we still had 60000 at our games then the fans might have a genuine complaint but you cant expect to pay guys 20k+ a week when your stadium is half full.

If Celtic knocked back the offer from Palace, he would have left for f**k all in the summer. He had no intention of signing a new deal, obviously Celtic would have preferred that he did, then they could have got 5/6 times what they got by selling him in the summer or a years time.

All this reeks of a player not wanting to be made to look like the bad guy. If he wanted to stay, he could have signed way before deadline day. Matthews is quoted as saying that Joe was gonna sign the new deal a few days before the Palace bid came in, so if the deal was on the table days before D'day, why wait if you are gonna sign??

No problem with him leaving, just don't suck up to the fans saying you wanted to stay when its bleeding obvious you were always leaving. Now for a little cash or in the summer for f**k all.

Good player and good guy Joe, but this **** is beneath you!!

This. He could have turned down palace and signed the deal. Simple. Fact he didnt speaks volumes.

Hope it works out for him. Dont really care though

Ledley came to us on a Bosman, so he pocketed a fair amount of dosh en route to Celtic Park.

If he wanted to sign, then he would have. Instead I think he would have tried to work a flanker, showing interest in staying until the transfer window shut, then quelle surprise!! he signs a pre-contract agreement with Palace - and more dosh en route to SE25.

Well done to the board for getting something from him <ok>

As far as whinging about the board is concerned, like a few of you, I put up with Fergus McCann skimping and scraping when we were getting financially bitch slapped. I complained but in the end, I was shown to be wrong. We now have a club that has a solid financial base. That base is there now in large part to the outstanding work of Peter Lawwell and he is laying the groundwork for the next decade & beyond. The board won't get everything right, but when it comes to the future of our club, I'd back them every day of the week.

Ledley had a really good game for Palace at the weekend. Did an excellent job screening the defence from Mata, Rooney & Januzaj for the most part.

He is a good solid player. Sometimes isnt a stand out - but take him away and his absence is noticed

I have to say Biton fills the gap well IMO. Think he will turn into a belter

This <ok>

Thought he has potential from the first time I saw him. Seems to be fitting into the pace of the SPFL as well.

The boy Johansen looks decent as well, gives the ball away a bit too much but technically seems a cut above our other midfielders.
