I'm not particularly annoyed we're losing, but the fact that the team selections are always horrific is what's annoying me- the lunacy of today's team its reminiscent of when walcott was taken to the world cup in 2006. Why is mccoy still not playing when everyone can see that he is one of the best full backs we've had in years. Why was Strevens on left wing ahead of both Betsy and Kadeem? Why was Bloomfield on instead of Donnelly? If Donnelly had been on he would have scored the penalty. Why was Rendell bought on in the 87th minute, its almost insulting to give him that little time on the pitch.

It is very strange. It does make one wonder if it's personal. Given the ability of the players in the squad and the performances on the pitch, something is definitely wrong off the pitch; I am convinced 100%. No doubt it will come to light at some stage.

I did say a while back that there was a lot of discontent in the squad who were upset at the choices waddock was making and his refusal to listen to advice.

Does no one else think 4 weeks out for a broken thumb is a long time ....... Can't ainsworth have a cast on or is there an issue there as well?

I might be in a minority but I still don't think Waddock should go. However, I think he might soon. He's got one more roll of the dice.

    1) See what he can do between now and Thursday, when the loan window closes. If he gets in two quality players that could be all we need. This is very important as if there is unrest in the camp it could be a breath of fresh air. Stevenage have just got a striker in on loan from Arsenal, I assume we could do this too?

    2) McCoy, Betsy and Rendell should all be given a fair crack now (at the expense possibly of Foster, Ibe and Strevens), they cannot be worse than what we've been doing the last few games.

    3) Ibe should be on the bench at the most, he's only 15 for god sake. He should be an impact sub. And even Harris cannot start every game - but that's okay with Betsy and Grant playing.

    Is Winfield injured/suspended?

Jock, I think I heard on the commentary that Johnson had collected enough yellows to suspend him for the next match, which lets in Winfield who conveniently returns from his one match ban.

Johnson is apparently suspended, which leaves us with tunnicliffe in defence (which gives me great confindence...NOT). i think betsy, mccoy and rendell should at least get a chance (87th min sub does not count). against MK, id go with...

    bull

    mccoy tunnicliffe/stewart winfield basey

    grant donnally lewis betsy

    rendell beavon

subs: the other tunnicliffe/stewart, bloomfield, harris, ibe and strevens

this is all assuming rowlands is still unavaliable, if he can play i think he is possibly the class we need in midfield

Honestly I think waddock may need to go if he has lost the dressing room and can't motivate the team then we need to do something soon !

Fully agree - it's more than Brownie, Cousins and Evans putting the boot in - what was missing yesterday was leadership on the field. With Ainsworth and Winfield out there was no natural leader on the field to pull the team together - it doesn't matter who is wearing the armband there should be someone leading in each area of the team.

I advocate playing Basey alongside Winfield at centre back on Saturday. Basey looks like a proper defender and has previous experience playing CB at a higher level. The constant overlooking of Betsy is quite frankly a disgrace and he should be in the squad at the very least. Is GA being lined up as new boss I wonder??

Waddock should not go. I am still utterly convinced he is the man for the job. Having said that, I am not blind to what is happening at the moment. I agree with Ron that something behind the scenes seems to be wrong. Ok, I can accept that our players that got us promoted last season are not performing in this league but showing no passion? Something stinks.

As much as I am an admirer of Waddock, I see him walking under a 'mutual consent' agreement if we get stuffed at the franchise this weekend.

Having said that, some people should be careful what they wish for - if he does go, the chances of us going down will be greatly increased as will the probabilty that another management change will occur at the end of the season. I, for one, do not want to see a Sven Goran Erikksson style manager come in with the promise of 'rescuing' us and drain us of the little money we have when they leave on the last day of the season. This would also surely signal the immediate departure of Ibe and Harris at much cheaper prices - these guys need continuity.

I wasnt at the game so cant comment but, like I said above, some need to be careful what we wish for. A club our size is simply not in a position to pay a miracle worker to come in and guarantee to keep us in this league. Come on Wycombe, lets upset the odds and stick one on the franchise this weekend :)

    Spot on Jose,

Most of the same team as last season as the most of the new players arent good enough, Grant replaces ainsworth and tunni/stewart replaces leon while suspended. Rendell replaces strevs as strevs was far too lightweight and mccoy must replace foster.

The only thing i can think of why rendell didnt play a bigger part was that it was the anniversary of Alfie his son passing away, he may not have been in the right frame of mind.

i think saturday will make or break waddock: hopefully wanderers can take a much needed win and push on with the season. i think we should be able to take down a good crowd, make a good atmosphere and cheer on the blues. however, despite my optimism, we could well get thrashed!
