Well, what a strange old game that one was. Considering the amount of angst the last time we met at Home Park reference the Referee and the amount of time wasting that went on along with oscar winning injured parts acting this was far from that. I thought your lot were going to start all that again when you went in from but I think us equalising quickly killed that dead. It was quite an open game and from end to end a lot of the time. When we went 3 - 1 up I did think we might have laid the hoodoo to rest. Forgot our nemisis aka Akinfenwa. That bleddy man always does it against us. 3 - 3 then and honours even. I thought that was a pretty fair result in the end. I already said that most appeared to think a point apiece would be ok before the start and they would take that. I did think we might just scrape it and almost did but a point it is. As for your injured man well I do think quite a few in the crowd thought it was a put on originally. Your physio got him on his feet and had him doing squat jumps. He then signalled for a sub and your bloke promptly sat down again after his work out. He took just enough time getting on the stretcher and off the field to allow the substitution to be made. Hence I think the booing. Once it was clear he was hurt I think our lot should have shut up but we all have the moronic section don't we. I also think this was a throw back to last season's game where every one of your players was terminally injured at some point in the game and the Argyle faithful not being very forgiving.
Was a really good game actually - a fair result really, would have been unfair on either side to lose it. From a wycombe point of view, the subs worked perfectly, Weston added a little more to it and ended up getting the goal. Bayo and Kashket looked good upfront, but harriman and JJ struggled (Argyles right winger was excellent I must say). The second goal was possibly a foul, argyles third was also possibly a foul/handball - I certainly thought it was at the time, video is unclear. As for the injured player I do have sympathy to an extent - we all boo players that we think are exaggerating injuries. However once the subsitutions being made and the players leaving on a stretcher I think the majority need to stop - and tbf most of the argyle fans did, just always the odd moron! Final word to the argyle ticketing management - what an absolute mess! Got in at 3:05, with a huge queue of fans behind me who i know missed kickoff - fairplay to delay the kickoff but making a cash turnstile wouldnt have been hard, giving fans correct information wouldnt have been hard, and prioritising that days game as oppose to the liverpool game in a few weeks time was even poorer - 3 windows open for that, 1 each for preordered and cash. Otherwise I have to say I enjoyed my trip to the argyle - nice ground, generally decent fans and certainly one of the better away days in the league
Reference your last paragraph jose. Trust me when I say that Argyle fans were not exactly in love with the Argyle Management over today either. Nor were the people in the ground who got there in plenty of time only to be kept waiting even longer than they expected. Argyle appear to have a thing about cocking up ticket purchase one way or another. The Liverpool Cup game is a prime example of that. The best seats in the away end were kept back from sale for several days and then let loose. The majority of season ticket holders got their tickets as soon as they could to ensure they were lucky enough. Once several thousand were sold the good seats came on line. Too late when they have your money and you have a lesser seat. They are useless. We are possibly the second best supported side in this league and yet get treated like muppets by the club. If it weren't for the ordinary folk the club would have gone to the wall a few years ago. We paid thousands and thousands in chucking notes in a bucket to keep it alive. Counts for?................yep diddly squat.
Missed all the action yesterday but what a great achievement to score 3 goals at Home Park to come away with a point. They never give up. Well done you Blues
Derek Adams had sour grapes again for Xmas dinner you would have thought he would have learned http://www.wycombe.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=473406
Got that one wrong 30th November was the cut off date so no suspensions until a player reaches 10 yellows before 2nd April
