I watched the second half of the peterborough and portsmouth game last night.

Both of them are ****ing ****e. If we play like we have been we'll murder peterborough - they were hanging on big time against a very poor pompey side - pompey had 2 or 3 really good chances to get a point last night.

Nothing to fear from them imo.

Peterborough have played most of their attacks though that triangle because they don't have enough pace for true wing play.
They play Szmodics and Dembélé behind a centre forward (Clarke-Harris).

The three men attack as a unit to draw in the defence and those two will either lay off to a wide midfielder to cross or pass (maybe via each other) through to the centre forward.

Take out Szmodics or Dembélé and the deep attacking forward has lost his immediate support. that gives defenders an easier time.
Oh I get that mate. But never, in my 40 years watching the game, have I seen a journalist look for the number of goals scored by three people added together to use as a bragging point. Top scoring midfielder or. Attacker etc. Of being part of a front 2 responsible for x number of goals. Never heard them go as far as a “deadly trio!”
