I absolutely loved him, I'm 99.9999999% sure there's no truth whatsoever in this story BUT I for one would be very pleased to welcome him back here.

When he was on his game I loved him, he has got it all pace, skill, strength, heading but unfortunately laziness too.

If Mon can get the best out of him it's a big yes from me, but if he comes here to be lazy it's a big no.

Put it this way, he's better than Bendtner.

I used to really like Jonesy, until that pre-season when he came back "all bulked up." IMO, he was never the same player, as his aerial ability seemed to greatly diminish...(too heavy to get off the ground?) Add to this his inability to trap a ball, his piss poor shot, and his laid back demeanour...it would be a very poor signing indeed....NOT HAPPY!!

You need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net.

Jones' scoring record is **** and I reckon (unfortunately) you'll sign someone better. You have got to be, surely?

I would be dissapointed with us being Jones on the same day Cissie could be signing for Newcastle. I know we all think MON can make even Jones top draw for more than the 1 in 5 games he normally did for us.

If he is up for it he is great, brilliant in the air and with the quality of cross we have coming in could be interesting, on the other hand he looked like he had clown shoes on everytime he took a shot

I like the way the article says he has competition from Crouch, Jerome and Walter but at Sunderland his competition would ONLY be Bendtner, Wickham and Ji Dong Won.. Suppose Campbell mustn't be playing any more.. And I'd rather have our 3 than the 3 stoke forwards mentioned!

Mon demands a certain attitude from his players which Jones demonstrated on many occasions not to have. Common since will hopefully prevail as we've now moved on. That said I'll always wish him well.

Seems like another piece of trash/lazy reporting so don't shoot the messenger.

EXCLUSIVE: Saudis chase Stoke star JonesPublished 22:31 17/01/12 By Alan Nixon

Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones is a shock £5million target for super-rich Saudi side Al Hilal.

The Riyadh outfit want Jones as a replacement for their top star Yousel Al-Arabi, who is on his way out of the club.

Jones joined the Potters from Sunderland 18 months ago for around £8m, but has been squeezed out of the side by summer signing Peter Crouch - although boss Tony Pulis is in no rush to lose him.

Al Hilal have made an official approach for Jones, and Stoke want to get their money back at least as the move has taken them by surprise and they have no obvious replacement lined up.

Jones signed a long-term contract at the Britannia, but the move could interest him as the salary in Saudi would be tax free.

I can't see it happening, but if it did he would at least be in a team this time around which crosses the ball from the by-line !

Deffo a NO for me - was always work shy, was never much good save for set pieces and seemed to me to crumble after he missed a one on one at Anfield in his last (maybe) season for us.

My Mrs does think he has lovely legs though - a split decision in our house!

Sorry mate but jusdt can't see MON putting up with him, he's not an MON type player. At least Heskey was a grafter, shame he was a donkey mind but he tried, Jones wouldn't.
