I guess we have to differ on this subject, no way that all the Chapel enders jump up and slag the Northam, any more than all the Northam criticise the Chapel, lucky for Saints, we have a great and diverse load of fans and each has the right to support in whatever way they see fit, start insisting on regimentation and the fun goes out of it. You enjoy it your way, let the rest of us do our own thing, we all want the same thing in the end, don't we?
Every stadium has a quiteR (notice the r at the end beddy ) stand because that is what some people like from a football match especially familys with young children who are just deciding whether football is for them. And if it is they will probably move on to louder stands as they grow up. Then maybe as they get more ahem "elderly" they might think that a bit of a quieter stand with less people throwing out obscenities is for them, I'm 15 and have mates who all invite me to go with them in various parts of the stadium (Including one bloke who's step dad is a couple of steps down from mr cortese himself! And has season tickets in the comfy seats right next to where all the injured players sit!) as they all have season tickets. But I choose to go with my dad while I still can and he enjoys sitting in the itchen south because its a nice enough atmosphere and you get to see all the saints goals in the secound half. But my point is in the itchen south theres plenty of people that chant and clap and sing, and i can here plenty in the chapel as well they just are perhaps not in as great a number as the other stands or with such loud voices! So please lets all lay off eachother and back our team into the championship and beyond!
