In the Grauniad every day they have a referendum for readers on some burning question or other. Readers vote online, yes or no, and the result is given the following day.

Yesterday's question was "Would you have voted for Sepp Blatter in FIFA's presidential election?"
Results just in this morning...
YES 4%, ABSTAIN 96%

....and the bloody Welsh FA voted FOR him - I wont be applying for Welsh citizenship :)

Makes you wonder about the 4%
True!
This is just about the closest any of these votes have come to a whitewash. Usually these votes come out 60-40 or at an extreme 20-80. Never known one this extreme. The country is (virtually) united. At least, the Guardian reading element is.

Obviously the paper were having a laugh, which is why i posted it- made me chuckle anyway. The abstentions were all of course NO.

It is a farce. The funniest bit recently I thought was Jack '9 bob note' Warner taking the moral high ground. These people are poisonous, and the fact that football vaguely survives their presence does not make them any more palatable.

What amazes me is that England yet again seem to stand alone - what is it with sheep mentality that makes people go with the crowd instead of thinking for themselves and standing on their principles - Wales claimed they would get more influence being on the "inside" - yeh - bllocks

Well said Leo , I suppose that turns us into the black sheep of world football though!

For those of you living in other countries - what do their press say about the Blatter thing - IS IT just England?

I bet you it's just england Russia and Quatar aren't going to be complaining lol, there all crooks, from the FA to UEFA to FIFA the whole system needs changing
