Michael Garcia will be bought
It might be too late for that, the cat has got one paw out of the bag. And the problems with holding the World Cup in Qatar will not go away, quite the reverse in fact. So I haven't given up hope of seeing some interesting developments. If Blatter does survive this I expect him to die in office, like J Edgar Hoover.

I really dont think Michael Garcia will be brought now... If they were going to do it they should have done it before releasing their statement yesterday as if they tried it now I could see him admitting that they've tried it.

Whats laughable is am sure Blatter said they would never release the investigation because of FIFA's secrecy etc... yet now because England are at fault he's changed his mind!!

If we had any balls we would tell FIFA to poke it and leave that malignant, dishonest, and thoroughly corrupt organisation to fester in its own filth. By staying in our integrity and decency is being compromised.

I say leave FIFA.

I am with you all the way. Is it beyond the realms of possibility to ditch FIFA and with other powerful Countries like France Germany etc form another governing body. FIFA has lost all credibility, selling its soul for bags of Gold.

So far that's been true, but the row over Qatar can't be forgotten about because of the problems of playing the actual World Cup there. We shall see.

I'll have to be careful what I say here (and not claiming to know more than what the reports have shown) but I have a friend out in Qatar working in a consultancy role for the WC bid. Without any details ever being discussed he maintained all along that FIFA won't find anything - it was a shady operation and they look as if they've covered their bums enough on this one.

One thing I can disclose is the money situation out there. He is soon to be returning after being out there for 18 months as in that time they haven't paid the firm anything (though his company have continued to pay him and colleagues), which is the same for a lot of companies out there who are doing their work for them.

Boxing went all silly with a multiple federations offering titles, but it still survived. Darts and Snooker survived. Football will too. I fully expect most European nations will follow us, probably not the French tho.

Let FIFA run its own tournaments and lets see how many people watch a final involving Papua New Guinea v Chad.

The TV boys will be cacking themselves.

But they find the money to fund ISIL.

The only thing that counts is money. If the sponsors were to start pulling out, and there was an international fans' boycott, I'm sure we'd see some surprising developments.

2026 World Cup to be played in Hull, sorry, Hell.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ve-new-Fifa-report-go-and-give-them-hell.html

Made possible by "A 666-page report seen by The Telegraph concluded that Fifa had acted ethically in awarding its showpiece tournament, and suggested Lucifer be compensated with “a really nice wristwatch, one with diamonds and everything” for having been put through an “unnecessary and upsetting” grilling.

Remember the Panorama program in the run-up to the World- Cup decision which exposed corruption in FIFA? It was denounced as "unpatriotic" by the FA because the FA was up FIFA's a**e at the time, trying to get it's bid accepted, and was also trying unsuccessfully to bribe Jack Warner. If Australia's bid had been accepted we'd all be looking forward to a fantastic 2022 World Cup, corruption or not. It just seems a bit too late for the FA to come out with any moral outrage. The only thing which will make FIFA change their decision on Qatar is if they realise it will be a total disaster financially.

Michael Garcia has now resigned from the "ethics:grin:committe". There is talk that this has plunged FIFA into turmoil, but I imagine the Dear Blatter is oblivious to the implications, he lives in his own bubble where women should wear tight shorts and anyone who disagrees with his decisions is a racist. Fifa doesn't seem to be answerable to anyone.

The Asian Confederation will back The Dear Blatter for re-election against their own Prince Ali. Gratitude for delivering Qatar I suppose.

........................and the Blessed Blatter's name goes in, just like he said he wouldn't. He has bought, sorry got all the African votes, and who would bet against him winning, and even standing again in 4 years time?

I thought that said Brian Blessed for a minute. Now there's a man I would support as FIFA president.
