With their comments about penalties being 'a tragedy' after the champions league. And I think I have the solution to football's problems. If there are any ref's listening who will be taking control of games in the Euro's, just listen carefully and do exactly what I say:
Give England a succession of horrendous, disgraceful, offside, handball, red card not given, goal that wasn't, real a - list refereeing howlers so that they beat a top nation to progress to the latter stages of the tournament. Technology will be brought in before the final whistle is blown.

on a serious note I think the complete lack of any expectations will actually do england well. Quarters/semis should be achievable.
