Eno was involved in that one if I remember rightly. The title track and the New York city one were okay too now that I think of it.
Never was really a huge fan of Simple Minds but I think this is an incredible song. Especially the chord changes.
Hope Moses likes this as a fitting end to my Scots themed blasts.
I liked some of the earlier simple minds stuff, started to wane after the new gold dream album I thought , but, you should have a listen to their covers album " Neon Lights " it has to be one of the worst and unintentionally hilariously albums ever.

Just had a look at the track listing of Neon Lights, a few cracking songs so I definitely will have to give it a listen.
you will need a seat, a stiff drink, a large spliff and a playtex 18 hour girdle to stop your sides splitting
I didn't think they could top their 80's cover of Reed's street hassle, but this does if for me. This is possibly the worst track I have heard this year. Kerr even makes Bono appear plausible that's how ****ing bad it is. I bet Richie from the Manics heard this album and then decided to run away.

Gloria = My band do a better version TMWSTW = Lulu's version was better Hello I love You - Sounds as if it was recorded in someone's bedroom Bring on the Dancing Horses - Like The Time Frequency on a bad day For your Pleasure - Ferry would be spinning in his grave if he were dead, if he heard this he would probably kill himself All Tomorrow's Parties - Bryan Ferry's Version is better and Lou Reed is spinning in his grave
Oh God you didn't listen to it did you Dev? It must have been some spliff mate. It looks like kind of predictable the songs they cover. The Simple Minds were just not a good cover version band. II enjoyed some of their own stuff all the same at the time. I still kind of like the New Gold Dream album.
