Another thought is that we could give Hall a go a the number 6 with both Bruno & Tonali ahead of him. That adds pace to the midfield and Hall has stated that he wanted to play midfield as well. No idea how good his press resistance or distribution is, but it could be interesting to experiment.
I suppose the question is how much better is Livramento at that role than Murphy. Both Right footed, both have pace so all gonna come down to intelligence & end product
Eddie talking about changes this week: If I was him I'd be going: Pope Trippier-Schar-Botman-Hall Longstaff-Tonali-Anderson Almiron-Wilson-Barnes Trippier and Tonali off at 60' for Livarmento and Bruno, Botman for Burn 60-70, Almiron and Wilson making way for Gordon and Isak later on. Think he'll want to have a real go at City in midweek.
We need to stop with the mentality of needing to be underdogs. Howe needs to prove he has a bigger mentality. I don’t think he does.
Eddie will have to learn to be a winner. Or he won’t be our manager for long. It is harsh but it is that simple. We have to be Man City levels in 3/4 years. Currently he is showing his weaknesses.
True. Winning his last PL game and then drawing away to last season’s CL semi finalists really has set the alarm bells ringing for me too.
He’s not improving. That’s the problem. He has spent 400m in the last year. He has no excuses this season we should be too 6 no doubt.
