Then you need a history lesson, mate!!

The 1953 FA Cup Final, Sir Stanley Matthews, Stan Mortenson...

Alan Ball, Emlyn Hughs...

4th, 3rd, and runners-up in the old Division 1 in the 1950's...

Blackpool have a great history, the "Matthews" FA Cup final v Bolton, I would suggest, is an iconic FA Cup final, more than can be said for your milk cup win v Sunderland, where you didn't even score the goal!

I think he's probably referring to recent history, welly. Before our relegation in 2009, Norwich were a fairly comfortable Championship side, having previously flirted with promotion on more than one occasion. This should have provided us with the resources to sustain a more successful Premier League challenge. I think it's fair to say that we have become one of the more consistently good second tier sides since our relegation in 1995, and would certainly be considered one of the best 20 sides in the country since the start of the 1970s.

Blackpool's history is certainly one to be treasured, but their recent history has been pretty bleak, up until two years ago. Norwich's, on the other hand has been much more favourable.

You're right Hucks, I was referring to recent history. There are many teams that have achieved considerable success but in many cases that was a very long time ago. Look at Huddersfield. They won the Championship three times in succession but their last championship win came in the 1920's. Overall, as you have said, Norwich's recent history is far better than Blackpool's. Oh and Welly Blue, our win over Sunderland wasn't our only League Cup success so perhaps it's you that needs the history lesson.
