I watched it 20 times and it looks like Maja initiated his cut inside the central defender at exactly the same time McGeady kicked the ball. Fortunate, intentional, or one action instigated the other?
He's a natural born goal scorer - just like Jermain Defoe We need to keep him, he's going to be worth a fortune.
Definitely the best striker the club has brought through since Micheal Bridges, also think we have more gems in Mumba, Denver and Robson yet to nail a place to name but three, and there are more,
Majas run inside the CH to the near post is a strikers instinct and McGeady would expect someone to get on the end of his cross which Maja obliged. this kid is learning his trade every week, he wouldn't have made that run in September. we have to keep him.
Just in a karaoke bar, on the promenade, and a young Sunderland lad just did a brilliant 'Wise Men Say' ... ... changed all the words to suit the day, brilliant.
It was there on Boxing Day but just didn't turn up on Saturday. Portsmouth away was fantastic despite the result.
Would be such a huge lift for the players if the home atmosphere replicated that of our away support. Home & Away atmospheres are like chalk & cheese nowadays... and with most clubs treating our game as a cup final and bringing massive support (for Lge1) to the SoL; it's disappointing to hear away fans up in the gods at times out singing our 30,000 fans. I always lose my voice at every game & will continue to do so
The atmosphere left the SoL as soon as they moved the away fans into the roof of the North stand. Away fans support always encourages home fans to respond as it did when they were in the SW corner. Now up in the gods they have the wiggly tin roof help reverberate the sound. Personally I blame the previous owners for moving the fans to where they did. It could also be that following abject failure in the last two seasons we have become demoralised and just expect the worst. Admittedly I still join in with the shouting and singing in the West stand.
