The reason we're top is the defence, 10 goals conceded in 20 games, all the best teams are built from the back, we've just got to get the other six players blended correctly...
I think the moments that we are switched on and a bit more dangerous are becoming more frequent and hopefully we will get into gear soon.
Was not there but from the highlights Green seemed MOTM. Just a brief mention of Jenas who has come in for some stick from some on here. he set up Phillips with a very nice 1:2 for the cross that was headed in by Austin. Let's give the lad credit where it is due.
Flyer is pure Gold. Read his comments from the start of the thread right the way through and you're guaranteed a good laugh. He starts off by mugging off the Manager, the players, the formation, the system and everything and everyone you can think of. We've got no chance, we're going to get hammered, Redknapp's tactically clueless blah blah blah blah. And then suddenly when we score and start to piss all over them its because the Manager has now done what Flyer said all along - when of course it wasn't! This is the same pattern every single week, on every single match thread. Flyer predicts we'll get beat and then says we won because the team did what he was suggesting all along - when of course he wasn't! (After all how could he? He only started following football three years ago!) In effect, he's having it both ways: Having his cake and eating it, as they say. Another old saying that springs to mind when I think of Flyer: Even a broken clock is right twice a day
