Really, I think we look shocking. We can't string passes together and Blackpool are attacking at will. We look worse on the TV than we do live.
[HTML[/HTML]It's not that they're good, West Ham beat them 4-1 at Bloomfield Road with 10 men. You know that now we've conceded the best we can hope for now is a 1-1 draw. When Blackpool attack, look at how many players they have supporting 5 or 6? When we attack we have 3-4....numerical advantage always pays dividends.
Well there you have it, shouldn't have been a goal. We've been robbed! Just our luck. And if Koren had've got that shot off we could've been ahead a couple of minutes earlier.
If Blackpool sign Robbie Fowler, he'll grab loads of goals, look at how many chances they create? He'll have an absolute field day.
The foul on McLean was several seconds and 80 yards away from the scoring shot, though - it's clutching at straws to blame the ref.
Let's not rule out the possibility that West Ham are a very good side in this league though? If you look at their squad and wage budget they should easily be top. Blackpool look a good side to me but as long as we keep it to 1-0 we've got a chance. We need to get Koren&Stewart on the ball more though.
Still if it had been given they wouldn't have scored. Not blaming the ref, the lino should've flagged. He seems a bit useless, as usual with linesman. First, the foul on Mclean. Secondly, the offside (that wasn't) on Mclean. And thirdly, the free-kick just then where the kid just fell over, Fryatt did nothing to him.
If Nigel did this, and conducted himself in interviews the way Nick does and be arsey with Burns, he'd get slated. Yet it doesnt get a mention (until now, obviously). Why is it our fans have ALWAYS had one rule for one?
Agreed with glennonslastpint, we have struggled to keep possession in any meaningful fashion and we are failing to pick up the majority of second balls. Cam not in the game, McLean looking poor. Onwards and upwards second half - bring on Brady.
