Boom about time lol..
1/ the doc, not just the ****ing screamer of a goal but his all round play all night.. top draw mate.
2/ Greaves, “ take him out of the firing line “ **** that, brilliant tonight and had their commentators waxing lyrical all night.
3/ hardest one for me but I’ll go with seri just ahead of slater…
But a special mention to each and everyone else, all played their part, well done lads onwards and upwards old chaps and chapets!!!!

Wasn't sure before the match whether or not I could face watching it. Glad I did. All round good performance from everyone. City really bossed it and, for once, we looked like we had an extra man.
Docherty - never stopped and getting back to his best
Slater - energy and commitment
Seri / Longman - can't decide. Both put I a good shift.

Also, honourable mention gor travelling support. Out sang the home fans by some margin.

Docherty - Ran them ragged. What a strike.
Slater - Back to his best, pushing us forwards.
Pelkas - Really starting to get to grips with Championship football and show a good threat.

Honourables -

Seri - ran the show from deep but still has a couple of moments in him that make me panic.
Christie - very nearly made my top 3. Was excellent.
Woods - amazing flick to set up the first goal and put himself about very well tonight.
Figs - solid performance again.
Jones - solid performance again.
Longman - did his job very well tonight but I was annoyed with the way he picked that card up.
Greaves - some moments of poor quality that put us under pressure mainly in the first half, but he had an excellent 2nd half.

They played like a team tonight. Lots of interceptions to break up play without needing the 'muscle' we've been crying out for. They had each other's backs, covered each other and there was plenty of movement and fast passes forward. We dominated that game, overcame their pressing and showed some quality, backed up with good energy.

If we show that level of energy in games after tonight the quality will start to come with it more and more. Let's hope this is the moment our season really begins and we can produce that sort of performance regardless of who's in charge.

Docherty - oh wow, his best performance ever for us. Lovely to see him play in his preferred position
Longman - the guy’s unfairly got so much stick, but he harried and chased all night and his work led to 2nd goal. Looked a bit miserable at the end - hope the abuse he got in the other game hasn’t put him off us
Woods - pairing him and Seri as defensive ball-playing midfielders worked like dream

Everyone played really well and fought for everything. So fantastic to see after a miserable run.

Doherty - Never stopped running and fantastic goal ..best of season
Seri - Ran the midfield - Best game yet.
Longman - Worked his socks off. Didn't miss Oscar.
