Is this right? If Blackburn pick up 6 points and we get thumped by City, we could still go down with Bolton and Wolves???

That's a huge IF Kerry. I look at it like Blackburn winning leaves us above Wigan. I can't see Blackburn beating Chelsea but Wigan could come a cropper at Wolves and we'd finish above the two of 'em!

Just two ways of looking at it I suppose.

It would be nice to not have all our eggs in the Stoke/Bolton basket- by winning one nil, blackburn would provide us another route to safety in the form of Wigan. It's more likely Wolves will beat Wigan than Blackburn will beat Chelsea.

Yep or less likely wigan and wolves. And we don't even have to be thumped by Citeh! Our goal diff is only 6 bettter than Blackburn and they have scored more, so if they win for example both games by just 2-0 and we loose just 0-2 to City then they will be above us on goals sored. I'm a Wigan fan tomorrow, and Stoke next Sunday without doubt, don't want to be a f*kkin scum fan next Sunday as well!

I agree with all of this. Wigan must have thought they'd reached safety. A defeat tomorrow means they are still in the mix for the drop and Wolves are now playing like a team without a care in the world. As we know all too well, raising your game against the best teams is easy, to do so against a team that is already relegated may be a different proposition especially if in the back of your mind, you are beginning to have doubts.

Remember this. Alan Hansen has already predicted a few weeks ago that Wigan are now safe. He thought it was all over. Next week it will be. But is he right? Or is the pundit's curse going to rear up and bite him on the backside?

Far better to have 3 Lancastrian teams battling it out with us rather than just Bolton.
