So how are all my fellow Whites fan/supporters lefties, right wingers, hippies, sambos, mossies, tree huggers, liberal, Trump fans, anti Trump, confeds, unionist, royalist, republican, alchos, tee totallers, mods, rockers, Teds, Metallers, new romantics, gay, lesbos, trans, skinheads, bootboys feeling today. Well I'm feeling great, thanks for asking. Just 20 mins till offy opens. TOP OF THE LEAGUE... 19 mins till offy opens.
I don't know but this Liberal fascist millionaire homeless displaced indigenous person who still begrudges the waste of tea caused by those damned colonials is fine and dandy and don't let anybody say otherwise or I will debate the point endlessly.
Thoughts about yesterday. Thought we were fairly average to be honest and but for Bamford's clinical early strike could easily have been behind. First 15 mins or so, Blackburn cut through our defence at will and Jack Harrison was extremely lucky to be given a foul when dribbling across our box. With a possible foul by Klich for our first I think for once we got the rub of the green on decisions and we should be honest and a realise that. Once again though a home club left the length of the grass unbelievably long to try to gain an advantage. When a Blackburn player went down injured, a close up on LUTV showed his hand nearly disappearing under the grass, such was the length. This definitely disrupted our passing game and we had a couple of hairy moments at the back, fortunately neither led to goals and it seemed again maybe it was our day. Personally, I thought once we had the lead that rather than stick rigidly to our passing principles that longer balls played into the channels were the order of the day. Cooper did try this on a few occasions but was hitting the passes too straight (through to the keeper) rather than down the sides to make Blackburn run back and play in their own half. There's no doubt that we've played better than that and lost, it's just how football is sometimes. The win however was still well deserved and it was good to see players such as Douglas, White & Phillips have decent games, plus scoring from our first free kick for 3 years and Klich back amongst the goals. Special mention for Bamford...two wins since the restart and he's got the crucial first goal in both of them. .
Yep... good finish for the first for bamford. Good to see. Actually think the worst we’ve played was Fulham. Even in the second half, we got too lucky goals and weren’t all that. 3-0, though, fans tend to judge performances on results.
Will be interesting what Jammy reveals at the end of the season, after he talked with the legends about Pontus. He gives the impression that the legends considered it essential that he went. I suspect not for footballing reasons either.
Keep having this feeling it might come down to goal difference... and I don't mean between us and Brentford. What if it goes to the last day (Charlton) and not only do we need to win, but we need to win by 2 more than WBA
No one wishes more than me that we'd bought/loaned a fit striker in January. Even yesterday some fresh legs in the final 20 mins was vital... Bamford gets a rest and keeps injury free and maybe we get another goal or two to improve the GD.
Bamford worked hard yesterday. He does understand and tries his best. He took a breath and although out of breath just got back on with it. He is a decent player just not a number 9.
Positive news from Bielsa's post match press conference yesterday, Dallas and Costa might be available for Thursday...but then he did say Forshaw was close about 9 months ago
