I watched on tv today. Norwich and last week I was in the ground. Something I have learnt from these three games.

I am much calmer watching when at the match. Why is that?

I pick up on every little mistake, missed pass/opportunity when watching on tv.

Roll on Friday. See you all there for a wellness filled 90 plus minutes of relaxation.

Good inclination for Christie to get himself fully fit and sharp then.

Delap was an absolute menace today. Absolutely no way should Delap be dropped after his performance today

Connolly admiited himself on 'Umbersaard' and tigers+ he had to work on fitness to get a starting berth.
And Delap keeps the shirt for me.

Delap probably produced one of the best striker performances I’ve seen today without a goal. Hyam genuinely couldn’t deal with him. Nor could Gibson and Duffy against Norwich, when you add the tenacity of Connolly I just think Delap will get even better.

Tufan has had 2 bad games out of 3 for me, he’s the one for me that loses the shirt if we are picking at the minute

Don't know why we'd be rushing Connolly into the 11 based on today even if he was fit. He did his job off the bench and Delap did his before that. It worked, why swap it around? There was a similar thing with England Ladies last summer where Russo kept coming off the bench and scoring, but Wiegman persisted with White up front every game despite her barely scoring, because she was doing a job and Russo was doing fine off the bench.

A wingman’s job is to take the lesser desired lady.

See you got the edit in before my comment posted

Liam said himself after the game Connolly can only do it for 30 minutes atm. Imagine it’ll be after the international break at the earliest when he can start

I hated the covid season, even though we won the league and looking back we must've won plenty, it just felt like there were so many frustrating games, and watching us miss chances and drop points on a stream was so much harder to take for some reason. At one point I stopped buying the streams because it was just ruining my weekends. That 3-3 at Donny where they nicked a point with a late free kick just left me furious.

I'm the kind of person who will walk past you on the stairs or go under a ladder while walking on three drains.

I wouldn't worry about Bristol City.

Thought Tufan once again looked better today when he went a bit deeper into Adama's position.

I suspect Connolly will start on Friday alongside Delap, I think we'll drop Adama. But if we get this mystery winger, he'll probably be straight in like Twine

I was honestly about to add this exact point but I don’t suspect it’ll happen. I just think it should (Connolly for Traore).

Twine will start every game from now (Rosenior pretty much said this when talking about his set plays).

I was watching the game on Tigers+ on my phone and was really wanting to come on here at half time and say we need Connolly on, he’ll make the difference, but didn’t dare as I was worried I’d lose the feed - unlikely, I know).

I imagine he’ll start the same team again for Bristol. I just hope we don’t have to chase the game again by the time we add Connolly to the mix. Delap would also benefit from him being on the pitch too.

On Tigers+ you can have screen in screen - you can have the game playing as an overlay over another app you're using. So you could type on here with the stream still running. All you have to do is hit the home button on your phone rather than back, and the picture will stay active.

Thanks for the advice. I’m not great with technology but I hoped something of that sort would happen. Unfortunately I have an iPhone 11, which has no home button (I hate this new feature). I risked going off and the video stopped so I quickly went back on and didn’t dare try again! <laugh>

No doubting he was a menace. Connolly can finish though, clinically.

First and foremost for me, it was a good game to watch. I've seen numerous games over the years, 10 v 11, and they are never easy to play against. Credit to Blackburn who made it difficult for us after going down to 10 men, and strangely it effected us more than it did them for the remainder of the first half. Up until the sending off we were the better team, and unlucky not to be ahead, due to their keeper pulling off 2 or 3 good saves.

2nd half again we were the better side but just couldn't craft a goal, sometime the ball just doesn't fall for you in the box, whereas it did for Gallagher when he scored. He shouldn't have been on the pitch by the way after his stamp on Coyle's back. Similar to James foul on the Nigerian girl and then being sent off in the World Cup.

Anyway, great when you can bring Connolly on, change tactics and go for the longer ball over the top, he really is a master in timing his runs and finishing. A big shout-out for Delap, who I thought was excellent, never gave their defence a moment's peace, and in a sense batter their defence into submission to allow Aaron to come on and finish the job.

Twine looked good and will get better, I thought Coyle was also very good, and certainly worthy of his place ahead of Christie at the moment.

Of the back 3, Macca still worry's me, there always seems to be a possible mistake in him. I can certainly see Greaves moving back to the centre and Vinagre being at LB once he is fit and up to speed.

Anyhow, nothing to be negative about, we are looking stronger than last season, the bench is looking stronger also, and we will get better once all these new player settle in. 6 points after 3 games, what's not to like.
