I was there last night, and as much as we where bad, I honestly don't think Blackburn where anything special at all. You can blame McCann all you want (And he has made some clear mistakes) any manager missing his first 4 choice centre backs having sold your best two players on deadline day is going to struggle. It looked like pre-season last night with so many players not knowing each other. As much as I don't rate Blackburn they look like a united team who know each other and all working together. We looked like 11 strangers. The team we put out last night is clearly relegation material, anyone denying that is burying their head in the sand. Admittedly bring a few of our injured players back and we will look more solid, but I have no idea where our goals are going to come from The thing I thought we missed more than anything was a true leader, someone who would take charge of us and dig in when we needed it. Also interesting to see Henriksen starting tonight given he was nowhere near good enough for us according to some!
I didn't think Blackburn were special. It goes to show how we crap we have been of late. Interesting to read Slavan Bilic' comments after West Broms win last night. "It was a good performance from us. This is a difficult league and you have to be strong technically and tactically and you have to manage your way through games". "You have to manage your way through games" Are you listening McCann? Play to your available players strengths means you have to change formation/tactics.
