Match Preview;
This week world news has been dominated by one topic and one question. It is a topic that has caused much division, with people being accused of ignorance, foul play, bending the rules and arrogance. The same question has gone round and round in my head, and depending on your news source the answer is very different. The question is, of course; 'can QPR make it three wins in a row?'
I was very encouraged after watching last night. It wasn't always the one touch, quick passing and fancy football that we all enjoy watching, but we ground out a good result, in a match we could have easily lost. The result leaves us lower mid-table, 16th, and bottom of the five teams on 13 points. Obviously this means a win on Saturday should see us move up the table a couple of places.
Blackburn are 2 points and 2 places below us...having scored 18 goals this year, so 8 more than us. It is clear where their main threat comes from, as Adam Armstrong has scored 9 of their goals. They drew 0-0 with Boro on Tuesday night, with Armstrong missing due to a hamstring injury (https://www.transfermarkt.com/blackburn-rovers/sperrenundverletzungen/verein/164). According to that link Armstrong won't be fit for Saturday, which is good for us. You can also see there, they have two left-backs (Bell and Douglas, who have played 9 between them so far this year) out with coronavirus. Hope they get better and it isn't too serious...but also hope this means they will have a crap third choice left back on Saturday, ready for BOS, Albert, Chair and co to breeze past.
Enjoy those who will be watching, I'll add team news if it goes on the official, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
