In the camera shot as on the highlights immediatley after the goal, the lino seems to mouth "handball". It is so quick, blink and you miss it. I have watched it several times and am sure he mouths handball and not offside. But of course there is no handball.

He did say hand ball, twice

Davis taken out in the box "got away with one there" said the Sky Sports commentators

Their second goal was a fluke, happens once a season if that

We were very poor until Sarr had to go off, still a long way to go

Didn't he have his flag up for an offside?

But guess we will never know as never hear the communication between officials?

Either a foul or offside on Davis seems to be the feeling.

Might have given us a foothold in the game but wasn't to be.

A poor show on the road and that is 5 without a win which isn't exactly great form.

But still don't think we should sack Edwards - I thought we were trying to move away from that sort of don't perform well in one or two games so let's get rid type of attitude?

All that does is tell the players they don't need to take any responsibility and if they don't like a manager just lose a few games and get him out.

Bit worrying we seem to start the first halves not very well and that could be down to whatever is said before the game or the set up/tactics too.

Not just players maybe not giving it their all.

Is that an easy comment to make though when you lose?

There was a lack of spirit etc..

Should it not be the same each game - not just when they players fancy it?

10th in the league, only scored 9 goals, goal difference 0 and only 6 teams have scored less goals,!!!
perhaps not the start we expected

Particularly with the attack we have should look to score more I agree .

Hopefully a front 3 of Pedro ,Davis and Sarr can do the trick .

To be honest, being a child of the 60s I'd far prefer to watch the performances we were treated to back then. Some great wins, some lucky wins, some lucky draws and some bad defeats - but I can honestly say that I can't remember a single match where the players didn't give their best, and that's what I and many others appreciated. So, yes - these days we get that lack of spirit, but we also get a game overcomplicated by various formations/tactics. I honestly don't believe that players like Cathcart, Sierralta, Kabasele and WTE are bad players who don't know their way around a football pitch - after all they are all established internationals. Perhaps it's time to let them apply their experience to sorting out our defensive problems - let them play the way that they agree is best for them, not the way that someone else wants them to play...

I suppose that because he plays for us, I have watched Cathcart when he plays for his country. He is very experienced, reads where the danger is coming from, and moves to cover or cut it out. His role is that of a central defender, centre half in old money, He is not however a right or left back, yet he is being asked to fulfil that role for us, and still be a centre half at the same time. When we do play with a genuine left footed full back, because of injuries he finds himself playing on the right, his weaker side. I feel that our lack of defensive recruitment to cover the injuries may be as big a part of the problem as the actual formation.

Yes, we are shipping more than Maersk, can’t score, getting injured. Players working hard, perhaps the best quality in the division, and we’re tenth. 11 players in our penalty area to defend corners, but some opponents still somehow unmarked. This is management, IMHO, and I like Edwards, but it’s down to him to sort this out ASAFP. And if that means close consultation with experienced defenders, so be it. System to fit the players, not players to fit the system.

Trouble is all these teams want to play Man City/Liverpool type play it out from the back even if the defenders at that club are totally hopeless at passing the ball or taking it on.

Some of our great defenders of the past who did their main job very well wouldn't stand a chance these days because they weren't ball playing defenders.

    A Doyley for example.
