Some comparing Edwards to Ivic and wanting him out . But surely we cannot just keep sacking managers after a few games ? Yes it’s not been great but the team hasn’t really been very settled and well he has a limited choice of defenders particularly to pick from . It obviously doesn’t work very well unless you get an Xisco and he never seemed to get any credit from some anyway.
I’m not Edwards Out, I really want him to succeed, he’s a nice lad. But he has to sort out this situation. We have a squad who are working their arses off, a more talented squad than any of those we have faced, but we are coming off second best in every game, and I do hold the manager responsible for that.
True but seems to be a recurring theme no matter who comes in player or manager wise. Trouble is Edwards likes a 3-5-2 formation but we don’t have a natural wingback which isn’t ideal ! And players getting injured each game .
You have every player back to defend the corner and two opposing players are free to score at the far post. Great finish, but the view from behind the goal shows that no Watford player had picked up those two players. Tommy Mooney rightly said we have to push forward at this stage, which will create gaps. Fair enough. But we do this for 90 minutes.
Cant expect to get a result if you don't turn up until half time. Better second half but Blackburn good a frustrating us. Maybe Edwards needs a rethink. too many injured players, why?
Best to avoid the WFC forums and Twitter ! Sounds like a poor first half then lots of huffing and puffing including a harsh disallowed goal then giving another goal away from a corner .
