We cannot play away North of the Watford gap. Might as well not bother sending a team up. What a show up.
The last two results have been a reality check for all involved. Either PFC are not as good as I thought or the team suffer from travel sickness of these long treks to the North. Looking a the division, Pompey have many trips to Lancashire this season - with trips to Rochdale, Oldham, Fleetwood, Blackpool to come having already gone to Wigan and Blackburn. Have I missed any other teams. Plus Rotherham on the other side of the Pennines. Lots of exciting places to come.
We need to remember both teams were a full division apart last season - if we had picked up 1 point from the last two games I would have been content. The frustration is we do on occasion gift goals which just then gives us a real uphill slog.
