Four won’t be a disaster if we then beat wba. We can’t keep getting 9 points from 21 without dropping out of contention eventually
If nobody goes anywhere that means we are in the playoffs, do we always have to do things the hard way?
One of the main problems has been injuries. One of the main problems has been the injury to Bamford who lets not forget cost us more than any player has since Fowler. lets not firget that we tried to get Hernandez and Vydra and finally got Bamford. Baford is a natural goal scorer and scored 1 goal from 2 starts and would have replaced Roofe easily. Its goals we’ve been missing as we have created loads of chances
Dont think so mate but Klich is now top scorer and Hernandez and Roofe prior to injury were scoring goals (7 between them) so we lost those 7 since injury but now back. Alioski has scored 3 but also missed double figures in chances, Roberts missed chances, Saiz missed chances, Harrison missed half dozen before he got his first, Baker should have scored ...... We have scored from all over the park yet have missed a shed load, we just need to finish better and maybe not snatch at chances, but having Roofe and pablo back should help that now
Morning all. There is no doubt yesterdays result was very disappointing ,but I would rather wait for Bielsas reaction rather than take the advice of our resident "experts".
Straight after the match Bielsa said he loved our attacking play and was disappointed we didn't capitalise more. he said he was proud of our battling and tackling back and thought we deserved to win the match. He said Klich was excellent, Pablo added a new dimension when he came on and Clarke was a threat. Not once did he mention our defending other than to say he shouldnt have picked Dallas and should have had Berardi at RB. To me that says he was unhappy with the defending and his selection. Ipswich next a big win required
Most comments I read even before the game didn’t want Dallas there and even though he always gives 100%, he’s just not up to the job. As for Pablo, we could all see he should have been on soon after half time
Good Morning to matt and co from a slightly sunny Bardsey Well I didn't see the game and really I was glad I didn't however only one team in the top4 won which just shows how unpredictable this league is any one can beat anyone its that close So we have to hope we have no new injuries.and await Douglas returning and Ayling 2 wins will take us top inthis topsy turvy situation
Positives Our equaliser, I counted 13 passes before Klich tucked the ball away. Our future England star Kalvin Phillips please log in to view this image Bradley Dack hardly got a kick. Klich scored again & was unlucky not to grab an equaliser with another one of his specials from outside of the box which was sailing into the top corner until Raya got a hand on his effort. Young Jack Clarke offers more than Dallas & Alioski 7,710 Leeds fans. Negatives Bielsa's team selection. Four players playing out of their natural position at times. Hernandez should have started. Roofe should have been upfront from the onset. Tom Pearce a natural left-sided defender should have started. Dallas is not a defender, unsure what he is tbh. Berardi's poor return. Cooper looking like the player of recent seasons again. Saiz stray passes responsible for losing possession & putting our defence under pressure, cost us at least one of our goals. Alioski wasted so many corner kicks, needs to watch a dvd on how Blackburn cross the ball to their big men at set-pieces. Roberts was invisible Missed Ayling even though he hasn't been great of late, he gives us physical presence. 7 Peacock-Farrell 4 Berardi 7 Jansson 5 Cooper 3 Dallas 8 Phillips (MOTM) 4 Roberts 7 Klich 5 Saiz 4 Alioski 6 Roofe Subs 7 Clarke 6 Hernandez n/a Shackleton
Yes lots to agree with in your post.i would bench Saiz and put forshaw in hes more tidy and adds some strength.Alioski i have been a fan of his effort but now want him dropped his crosses and corners are a waste.Roberts is not ready to play against the harder and better sides. Mr Bielsa is not for change and tries same players over and over.he is convinced of his own ability as a coach so tries to make dallas a full back.hes not even good enough to play winger. We do not have the luxury to try out his crazy methods.
Last season when Pablo signed a new contract he deserved it and this season he has been brilliant.......... but we have to accept that he will not play every game and will struggle under Bielsa more than normal. Will people accept 50% participation or should we get an inspirational, creative player to be the new Pablo in January. A few quid required
A younger version of Pablo would be great but I suspect way out of our budget or spending. We’d better hope we can bring someone from the youth ranks in a similar mould
Can't disagree with that post Wakey I wouldn't have Dallas anywhere near our team, he gives us nothing
We need to try Forshaw in the Saiz role and Saiz in the Pablo role dont we? Forshaw started off as an attacking creative MF for Brentford and used as a DM for Mids. He scored a lot of goals back in the day and we have Jordan Stevens who had a blinder for the 23s on Friday?
For anyone interested Antonnson scored again yesterday and so too did Alfies lad which makes him golden boot contendor again even though he has now signed for Red Bull in Austria but loaned back to Norway. He is going to be some player and believe it or not hes a lot like Edmondson (3 goals Fri) and Jack Clarke. Oh and before Inforget Izzy was asked how his recovery is going and I quote: “nearly there all good” so we may see Izzy before Bamford
