I don't want Mackie to leave but just put yourself in his shoes. Our marquee player (who our owner would argue is the biggest signing in the history of the club) plays in his position, and he's a 90 min player. If JSP does what the club expects of him this season, how many games (or minutes) would Mackie get? He can bleed blue and white and say he'll fight tooth and nail for a spot but the reality is he has the hardest job of anyone breaking into the first team. I felt sorry for him when asked about JSP at the sabah press conference. "Great signing...plays in his position...can learn a lot from him". Mackie is turning 27 and in his prime. He needs to start games and if another EPL club came in for him, I'd bear no grudges if he wanted to leave.
Mackie is blue & white through n through. He epitomises everything great about the R's and not only deserves to stay at Loftus Road, but also secure a starting XI place. Quality, determination and who can forget the typical Mackie finish on the last day of the season. Let's fight to keep him a Ranger!!!
