I did mean on the balance of the second half but given Mayenda's miss i realise what a daft comment that was!!!

Some of our points dropped this season have been very late goals. Needs addressing. 4th though. Decent gap to 7th. Bring on Saturday. Been a great season so far.

    Absolutely brilliant second half.

we had a few missed chances and then concede yet another scrappy goal.

mayenda I’ve got no idea what he’s doing he had a shot and a pass on.

    dan neil was excellent

daft things like that could be the difference with top 2 and play offs. Not saying we won’t get top 2 btw but it’s frustrating

beat Stoke sunday and we’re still in a class place but that should’ve been 3 points after an absolutely superb performance in the second half

RLB’s changes have won us points the last few games.

the subs (lack of) didn’t cost us the 3 points there it’s just an easy blame IMHO

Happens too often, there is a weakness, perhaps a crucial bad reading of the game in a critical area. Should be easily fixed although it may need a change of personnel. Disappointing given the way the game was playing out. Even so, a pretty good point.

Should be aiming for 7 points from next 3, always tough with the lack of rest between games but definitely do-able

Really loving this team tho, loads of fight and heart in there - just need a couple of signings to help us 2nd half of the season

Some of our football in the 2nd half was breathtaking.. the one touch and speed of our play is a joy to behold. Shame about the late equaliser, but s hit happens.

Everyone should know what we have by now, weve been very consistent these past few weeks.

Slow starters, that has to be on RLB, a manager should have boys fired up particularly if watched the same film every week.

Team talk or whatever happens at HT were a different animal second half when we play on natural instinct and not predictable patterns.

Ballard or Onein, everyone has an opinion. One better on the deck, the other dominates in the air. Without Ballard like we did again today, we lose aerial battle as only Mepham and Bellingham can defend corners. Patto weak also defending corners and high ball. I do not think we concede late goal today if Ballard playing.

Young lads in midfield are quality . Dan Neil is outstanding and RLB chose the right Captain.

If you feed Roberts and fill him full of confidence he will deliver, 2 assists today and almost a late winner.

Mayenda and Isidor we can only play one. Neither are natural goalscorers. Both very honest and hard working but both had chances to wrap all 3 points up today. Strikers ultimately win promotions, Gabbiadini, super Kev, Ross Stewart could win us games even when we played average.

Not good enough to say Mayenda is only 19, he is keeping Rusyn & Connolly of the team so he is considered the best we have. If others not good enough, move them on and replace with a recognised striker. Otherwise top 6 is best we can hope for.

7.5k away fans today, 40k fans at home, Were the biggest team in the league and we deserve a quality striker. £17.5 million for Jack.
Spend the money and buy a recognised striker. Raise expectations on and off the pitch and our young superstars might stay.

We’ll find out at some point, but I genuinely think that a player having a breakthrough in Rigg’s absence won’t change things much. Really just think RLB doesn’t like to make subs. Certainly not when we have a positive result in hand anyway. It’s just not in his makeup.

Good point so will take it and move on. Let’s not crucify a player for missing a chance. All part of the learning experience for the kids. Onward and upwards HTL!!!

I've been a critic of Dan Neil, but last few matches he's been outstanding.

Loads of fight and I back us to go up this year through the play offs if we don’t get top 2.

a scrappy goal doesn’t change that. It happens. Well beat Blackburn at home

only just behind 2PPG at the half way stage of the season.

    absolutely superb Sunderland

Mepham trying to usher that ball out really led to the equaliser if we are being honest.

Playoffs are always so tough but making the playoffs would still be class this season

The squad has so much potential and are continuing to evolve as we go

Def need 2 or 3 players, at least 2 have to be for now imo

Boxing Day games are quite often messy and unpredictable, just look at Boro today …

… a point away at Blackburn will do me.

I’d rather we’d come back from 2-0 down but I’m happy with that.

Smug think deep down we are all happy with the point (but tinged with a wee bit of disappointment)
