#SSN understands Blackburn agree compensation with Blackpool for Michael Appleton. He is expected to be named Rovers boss within 24 hours

Blackpool would be ideal for say Sean O'Driscoll or maybe Owen Coyle.

Sadly for Phil Brown i just dont see who will take him ? Even Hartlepool turned down the Tango Man.

No matter how many of Hull fans may have slated the Allams, Pearson, Bartlett, Lloyd etc in the past - not even all their faults combined could match those of the current Blackburn owners. They appoint a poisionous self-centred, "nothing is ever my fault", totally unqualified manager to replace a man who (no matter what you think of his style/attitude/personality) was a competent manager. They also appoint a "Global football adviser" - who is qualified in what exactly. They spent how many days in England each year? In fact could they even point to Blackburn on a map, let alone list the last 10 managers who have sat in the dug-out at Blackburn.

If Blackpool don't appoint Brown, Phil will have to start looking abroad (Oz, US, China) for his next job - as he is severly running out of job options in this country.

He didn't even do a decent job at Portsmouth FFS, and drawing two-thirds of your games at Blackpool - a club with some of the best attacking players in the league - isn't exactly brilliant either

At this rate there'll have been 10 managers this season.

I don't understand why Appleton would leave there so soon after taking over & also why zblackburn would want him, his record isn't much better than Berg's.

Michael Appleton, what an absolute idiot you are.

Next Blackpool manager to be Phil Brown? His tan might match the shirts.

Anyone going to watch the game? Got to route for Wolves in this one as we dont want Blackburn to gain any ground on us.

He clearly wants to get back into management, but I doubt he's desperate for money. The Beeb seem to like him and he's probably making a fair amount from that.

think Blackburn have done the right thing though. it wasn't a job for a manager with a big personality so instead they've opted for a manager who doesn't have one at all!

that noise you can hear is big sam pi$$ing himself!
