    Liam Feeney signing confirmed.
He's been playing too so will be ready immediately.

    Welcome to Town, Liam.

Feeney has a bit of pace I believe....so could be handy.

How has K'nudsen been getting on lately....he was getting quite a bit of stick earlier in the season but not so much now?

Weighty,Knudsen's early "selling"point seemed to be his long throws, which in truth were just a good way to give possession to the opposition.Since he has wound them in he is not especially noticeable, whether that can be regarded as negative or positive is debatable. He is steady enough in defence but doesn't offer a great deal getting forward and I can't understand why a young player like him can't be coached/taught to cross the ball?!
In fairness he suffers in comparison to what went before-he's not as good as Mings who in turn was worse than Cresswell. It is symptomatic that we just can't attract or keep players good enough to improve the team year on year, which is why we are such a fixture in this division.

I wonder if the Feeney deal had anything to do with Lennon leaving Bolton by "mutual consent"?

Feeney is quite a good addition, pace and ability to beat a man. Massive upgrade on Niles who I'd love to see sent back to Arsenal he's been awful for months now. Feeney's delivery is questionable however he can create space. Him one side Pringle other in a 4-4-2 isn't bad at all I wouldn't suggest if we played that. 5 goals 5 assists apparently for bottom of the table Bolton is very good actually, probably better than anyone of our midfield.

How the hell are we in the mix - we're pretty awful. HOWEVER it's a results business at the end of the day and I'd rather our season is alive and we play crap than it be over and play quite well ala Huddersfield. I was very impressed with them and they warranted the three but got jack **** and season is over. They'd swap places with us in a heartbeat. Got into a good argument when one of their fans found it funny to abuse one of our women and he shut up quickly after I said " I know mate we probably are the worst side you've seen all season but we've got a chance of play offs and you're going nowhere have a good day ". He didn't know what to say.

COYB - beat Rotherham ( not convinced we will ) and the international break is at the best possible moment when we can recover, get McGoldrick hopefully back, and hear more ala Fraser/ Bishop.

9 to play, well in it. COYB.

BigAl I'd rather we played better stuff but we don't and it's been similar since Mick took over. It's not going to change massively is it. With Feeney potentially coming and Pringle getting fitter it could improve. Fraser was lightning and a shame about him being out.

We're one point off the play offs with nine games to go, lets get behind the team and give it a go. You just never know!?

I must say that a fit Pringle, Fraser, Feeny and Freddie, plus McG if he wants to turn up, does light my fire.

I may feel differently if I went to many games these days but with Mick in charge we'll always have a chance but we'll always play crap footy!!

I think we'd be stupid to even consider his future but I know I would definitely think differently if I had to suffer the full matches!!

I watch about 30+ matches a season and I agree that the standard could be better but I also agree with Westy that I would rather us be battling in top half of the division than the lower half, we've done that and there's nothing more depressing than knowing before a game that we are not going to win, the same as last week and the week before, the footy maybe poor at times but as Westy said there's a lot of Clubs that would places with us today.
So what do we want? Stylish, sweeping football with a solid defence? Course we do but we come back to money again to afford these skillful players and we know it's not forthcoming, so we carry on with what we have until ME either loosens the purse strings or sells up and we get ambitious owners, so I ll support our team and our manager because I don't think anyone else could have done better for us over the last 3 years in the same circumstances.

I do think we've been a little unlucky with the old injuries this season which haven't helped us. Bru ( not that i'm the biggest fan ) has been in out / Bishop all season / McGoldrick much of the same / Fraser with two spells out on extended injuries. That isn't going to help style of play, our four most creative players being out.

Coupled with that Tommy Oar having no balls, Niles sadly not pushing on, Toure not working 7 of our most creative players have been essentially taken out of the equation for the majority of the season.

Now don't get me wrong some of the way we play footy borders on the embarrassing and I don't like it. I'm a massive pro Mick fan think he's a cracking manager but whatever we think of style of play etc we're one point off the play offs with 9 to go. We're in there. 6th worth as much as 3rd and I've already gone in on numerous discussions before as to what other sides are spending.

We've added Pringle, we're about to add Feeney, McGoldrick may be back soon. COYB.
