It is a measure of how far we have come that there was a sense of disappointment at the final whistle but I think we would all take being three points clear at the top and the only unbeaten team in the Football League so we can all be pretty happy this evening. The game turned on their keeper's excellent save to deny Payne -
2-0 would surely have been enough. Another tight game though I thought we shaded it overall. It would be nice to try to get players a bit closer to Payne to help him - it is many years since we have had a player that looks as good in the box as he does. Despite scoring our goal I thought Tote had his poorest game for us as he kept passing the ball to them though he was clearly hampered by cramp later on. Two more tough games coming up this week and I suspect we may see a bit more of the fringe players if Hurst wants to freshen things up a bit.
