Cottager, my eldest has just informed me that we're in the gallery of photos on the club website. Pic number 5 is the three of us, if you're interested. It won't win back your lost five pence though.
Nice one, hope you and your boys had a good day. Your boys look young and may not remember the days when we couldn't buy a win away from home, assure them that wins like today weren't always the norm and to enjoy it while they can haha.
Meant to ask Captain, how did Ryan Sessegnon fare? Listening to Gentleman Jim he took quite a buffetting, defensively in the first half.
I thought he did well. He had a bit of a physical battle at times, but he didn't show any sign of shirking it. He was composed on the ball, even when in a tight corner at the back. I felt like the dissenting voice after Cardiff - my first time seeing Sessegnon - in that I wasn't convinced by him defensively. I'm much happier with the idea of him at full back after this weekend.
Sitting on the sofa I was a wee bit concerned, so that's really good to hear Captain. Sticking with feedback from those what saw the real thing, an awful lot of them on social media have picked out Sone Aluko as MOTM and he made the EFL 'Championship Team of the Day'. And .. high praise from our match winner for new signing 'Copa' Kebano (making his debut just a day after joining from Genk, having played for them the Europa League on Thursday night) .... Tom Cairney said in an interview on the official site - "He’s only had a day or so, but on first impressions, I think he’s been fantastic. He brings pace, trickery and he’s got a decent football brain so the competition for places is brilliant and, for his debut, I think he did outstanding." Add to that mentions for Button, Kalas, Smith (well, his defending) and it all gets a bid heady ... not what we're used to at all.
And goodness me, how could I have forgotten to mention Kevin McDonald 106 Touches 85 Passes 86% Pass accuracy 4 tackles 4 interceptions. He's so good that sometimes you don't notice him.
